As this item is for medical use( filter in a medical device) you would think the item would be sealed. The order arrived open with several of the filters on the bottom of the box. Needless to say they were disposed of.

The filters are a great low-cost replacement option similar in quality to what you may get at much higher cost from your DME. For me, the recent recall of Phillips Respironics machines due to foam degradation that contacts the air path underscores the importance of finding filters you can trust. The filter wouldn't resolve the Phillips issue at all, but seeing how low-quality foam in the airpath can be a serious issue it is important to consider how a filter from a country where quality controls may sometimes be secondary to price points now shows itself to be an important risk-factor. ... show more
