  • Supports a lot of fun!
My 5-Year old grandson loves this, but thought it came with the sword and visor which we ended up getting separately, but he has a good time with it

  • Perfect gift for Buzz Lightyear fans
Little ones love all the boxes and attachments. Do wish they also had a wrist one like in the movie.

  • Function, it’s just blah.
It’s plastic, has a kind of secret compartment, can’t put anything in there. It’s a make believe high tech. computer. Would be great to have an actual usable walkie talkie, not Just a plastic pretend box. Needs functioning active gadgets. Needs working lights. Needs excitement!!

  • How something can be worse than nothing
I’d read some reviews so I thought I had a fair idea what I’d be getting but…not so much. It’s like the entire toy budget for Lightyear got used up on the laser machete (which is indeed good stuff) so they pawned the belt an visor off on some random intern or massively unqualified relative or something. Some useful details: the maximum length where you can still close the belt is 31.5” which just ain’t that much. More like 30” since it’s not going to wrap around perfectly flat. However you can tighten it all you want so bonus there I suppose. You could wrap it around your thigh maybe. But for kids it’s impressively limited. Wasn’t even close to fitting my 5yr old. Granted this kid is huge but still (well, he wears a kids Med-Lg/8-12). What really gets me is that the belt itself is basically just grey rubber that’s rounded at the edges and punched all along one side so they could’ve easily made it long enough for everyone and let customers trim to fit. An extra 8” would’ve covered any kid instead of just catering to the anorexic preschooler demographic. Either they were trying to save a few bucks on rubber or they just kinda forget to try it in an actual kid first.. Basically if this fits your kid then they’re too young to comprehend Lightyear anyway (or desperately need a few solid meals). Good thing it’s more than just a belt then, right? Well… So aside from the whole pesky “belt too short for kids” thing it’s… still disappointing. There’s the “buckle” in the center (it actually fastens in the back, if your kid’s small enough it’ll wrap around ). You put the fuel crystal thingy in the slot and it flips open to reveal a map sticker and slider switch that… slides around and makes clicky sounds. Yee haw, good times. There’s the little pouch to put the fuel crystal in (it’ll fall right out of the buckle if you tip it fyi). The pouch is a pouch and doesn’t look like it does anything else so I’m happy with that part. The communicator? Well, it features another awesome sauce clicky switch that again doesn’t do anything else. I knew that before purchasing but it’s impressive they couldn’t be bothered to put an LED and a button cell in there or something. I guess I’ll do that myself, after I’ve finished replacing the belt part of this future space belt (in the future no one has torsos apparently). So yeah it’s basically exactly what it looks like. The thumbnail pic isn’t 1:1 scale but not far off. I highly recommend measuring the prospective child before ordering. I didn’t bother w/the visor but figured this might by cool to hang the machete off of. Even if it fit it’s not at all necessary though. I’d look at this as a kit that needs work to complete. Unless your kid can put it on its just going to be a toy they can’t use and likely an irritated parent wondering why they made this so limited. I get they want to market their movie but should’ve just stuck with the sword and Sox. This is lame and I’d love to ask the designer some basic questions (e.g. Do you dislike children? Do you have a basic understanding of three dimensional space?) It’s a BELT!!! How do you mess up a belt? Well, like this :) This is more of a toddler sensory toy what with the emphasis on clicks. Buy the DX laser blade instead. If you already have it buy another one. P.S the center buckle piece is glued (no visible screws on the back) so no easy way to replace with a longer belt. I guess I’ll make an extension to bridge the gap in the back. Just seems a lot harder than the manufacturer simply making it a few inches longer. ... show more

  • It’s alright
It’s ok ! Doesn’t have too much play features and on of the item box it’s just static . Doesn’t do anything!

  • Not a quality product
Would not have bought this in a store after seeing it. 4 pieces of plastic, very cheaply made

  • Does Very Little
Its a plastic belt and looks ok. The items that are on it are stiff plastic that are too hard for a small child to manipulate Imo. Not what I expected.
