  • Overall, would recommend!!! *Tips included in my review*
For the price, there were a few things that could’ve been better quality and possibly saved a bit of time during assembly. The cardboard cutouts could’ve been the same plastic as the rest of the castle, though they do add decor fitting the theme which is nice. Th elevator could’ve, and should’ve, been designed to slide more smoothly up and down. I question how long before it breaks but I did show my granddaughter how to properly lift and lower without putting pressure on the front of the platform. It’s decent enough quality, on par with what’s to be expected. There were no missing pieces, which was a concern from reading other reviews. Also, some reviewers commented how mixed up the pieces were in the box. The box actually comes in 4 quadrants, yes pieces were mixed up. But we started by organizing the pieces into separate the quadrants for the different building stages prior to constructing, which I describe below. I absolutely recommend following the 8(ish) minute Hasbro Video for castle assembly (pausing between each step) on Youtube for the actual construction guide. The included instruction manual is a great tool for organizing the parts for the separate floors into different sections, as the video’s assembly process is based on a floor by floor build up. Overall, the process was smooth. It did take about 3 hours. Perhaps it could’ve been quicker but there was no part in which me or my husband were frustrated. We even had our 6yo grandbaby help with certain parts such as snapping in pieces. We did have her step out while we were sorting parts and putting on stickers. But she loved being a part of it so we tried to include her where we could. She is over the moon excited about this castle!!! Seeing her excitement made this whole thing worth it. And when it’s all said and done, that is what truly matters. I would recommend to anyone considering purchasing. If you plan a few hours and follow my suggestions, which were based off of my research in the reviews and watching YouTube videos prior to committing to this, it should be a pretty smooth process. Ps: don’t forget you will need 3aaa batteries for the strobe light* ... show more

  • Just buy it
This castle is huge, time consuming to assemble, and expensive (even more now than when we bought it 2 1/2 years ago). But our granddaughter still loves it and plays with it virtually every day. If your little one loves Frozen, you just can’t buy them a better gift.

  • A 3 year old frozen lover's dream
This castle is taller than my daughter and she was so excited to get it on Christmas. The elevator is a little tough to pull up and down but she can still do it. We love the lights and I love that it doesn't sing any frozen songs because, let's face it, we have enough toys that sing into the unknown. Me and my husband used the manufacturers youtube video to assemble, took us about 30minutes to do the actual castle. I found the pieces, he snapped them together. Then I put together the furniture while he did the stickers and the cardboard pieces. If you have someone else to build this with, it will make it much easier. I am kind of mad that I bought this in November and now it's dropped almost another 20 or 30 dollars in price but I guess that's how it goes. I bought mine when it was $169 and I did an Amazon deal where you buy a $50 gift card and get a $15 credit. So with that I spent about $154. All in all, it was worth it to see my daughter so happy. Just make sure you have a place to put this castle because the pictures don't really do it justice to just how big it really is. ... show more

  • Great dollhouse, but...Missing parts
This dollhouse is almost everything I hoped it would be. I must admit that I may have been more excited about this than my 3 yo and she was very excited. That said after spending an hour and a half putting this together - which was not difficult, but took a while - I discovered 3 pieces were missing. I reached out to Amazon and the manufacturer. The manufacturer does not have any spare parts. They will get some next year, but could not assure me that they wold have the parts I need as they are not structural. Amazon had initially offered to refund me so I could purchase a new dollhouse, which seemed a tad wasteful so I initially declined. I called back after speaking to the manufacturer and they said I would need to return the current dollhouse before they could issue a refund and since they item is not in stock I would then need to purchase the item elsewhere. This would entail disassembling this massive dollhouse, shipping it, and then hoping to find it elsewhere. Not a great solution either, so now I have this dollhouse, which again is great, albeit incomplete. *Please note I do not normally write ranting reviews and am overall pleased, just disappointed ... show more

  • Granddaughter loved it!
We got this for our 5 year old granddaughter along with tons of other Frozen ii items for Hanukkah. Each time she opened a gift she flipped and proclaimed she had wanted it her entire life! I'd suggest since it is not Disney Imagineers that did the engineering on this castle or wrote the instructions, you plan extra time to put it together. More time than you think you will need! I would also suggest applying all the stickers before assembly. Why it doesn't say this is puzzling. I referred to the photo on the box often because many of the diagrams just didn't make sense. It may just be me, but don't toss the box too quickly. When some reviewers said their kids put it together Christmas morning I really have no idea how small children accomplished this on their own. I'm sure this will be fun to play with friends once kids can play together again after the pandemic is over. Hopefully, she's not in college by then!!! ... show more
