One of the many fun things I got to experience during this pandemic (the thing is really just a minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of things though) is a broken dishwasher and a several month back-order delay to get a replacement. I suddenly found myself back to my college days of needing to wash dishes by hand efficiently and effectively. This dish drying rack was one of a handful of items I purchased to get me through the months of being dishwasherless. Honestly, I made the purchases (including this one) quickly, with only a brief glance at reviews since I knew I wouldn't be using them long term and if I hated them it wasn't that big of a deal. Right out of the box I really liked this drying rack! Easy to assemble and can hold a surprising amount of dishes. I really appreciated the plastic trays designed to capture water from dishes, but I also put a larger dishtowel under the entire unit to 1) keep the rack from scratching up the countertop (which it probably wouldn't have done anyway) and 2) catch water that wasn't going to always fall exactly onto the plastic trays. The slotted knife holder unit on the side and the round holder for utensils became my favorite parts of the rack in time. The only complaints I can find (and they aren't deal breakers by any stretch of the imagination) is the side unit that holds utensils can be knocked loose a little too easily, and that the plastic tray under the utensil area can be pushed off easily by large dishes on the bottom shelf of the unit. We don’t have a washer machine so all our dishes are naturally dried on this rack. The metal parts are study enough to hold pans, pots and dishes, also glasses and bowls. But the plastic trays are very flimsy, they are made with terrible material. The little spot for utensils is starting to get rusty and we decided to by something else to hold our utensils. The rack for bigger knives is something that we like using although our biggest knife is too long to be hanged there and ends up touching the plastic tray. ... show more

My old dish drainer needed to be replaced. Wanted something that was functional as well as reasonably priced. Like this one. Would have given it 5 stars but I wish the plastic trays were a little stronger. One of mine seems to have a curve in it as all the water settles in one corner. The actual drainer is level as I checked that. Tried to bend it, but didn’t work. Also when I put the tray in place, I try and make sure it is centered on the frame. There were two issues with this dish rack; one of the water catcher trays looked used even after I washed it and the other thing is that I had to adjust the rack so that it would be balanced. Other than the two issues I encountered, I love this dish rack. For the value, it wasn’t necessary or worth me returning or exchanging it. It will do just fine. I really liked this dish rack but sometimes the tray used to catch the water will fall… well slide out, so that’s a bit annoying but other than that I really like it because it’s small enough to fit on my SMALLL counter space and I’m still able to fit all the dishes I wash on it . This was a pleasant surprise. My concerns were about sturdiness and fitting all the dishes with the two tiers. It was easy to put together. Just a side note we used a small piece of plumbers tape on the parts that screw together just to make sure they stay together. It may not have been necessary but we did it just in case. After several months of use its great! The plastic drip trays are a great idea and keep the counter dry although be aware they do slid around a bit if you aren't careful. I've not had any issues fitting dishes. The larger fry pans fit up top fine and it's not top heavy. For just the two of us this was a good solution for our tiny house. ... show more

Loves this rack! It provides a lot of space and it’s well worth the money. The only thing I would recommend is, the water holding tray for the rack that also holds the spoons is not long enough. If you don’t place the spoons to drain a certain way, the water will drain outside of the water holding rack. Likewise, the rack to hold the cutting boards does not come with a water holding tray. Overall, the try is great, and I just feel these suggestions would make the tray more complete and better! ... show more
