This is a really lovely painting. The instructions were clear. Though if you follow them, the moon doesn’t end up nearly as blended as the photo on the cover, and some of my moon colors ended up much darker (perhaps I mixed it the wrong ratio?). So I pretty much completely redid the moon, with much more blending to gradually merge the colors instead of crisp outlines. I also didn’t like the lightest clouds to be so crisp so I blended them a lot more as well. I’m pleased with the final result and will hang it on my wall. The brushes were nice except the tapered one kept losing bristles so some would stick out way farther unless I trimmed them or pulled them out. The lighter colors do not cover the lines and numbers, so I used a white gel pen to go over them before I painted. That did result in a different texture there, but overall I think it was still better than the numbers showing. Even with redoing a significant portion to blend more and mixing some colors wrong and having to redo those parts, I have plenty of paint left over. It allowed me to do lots of layers and play with colors as much as I wanted without worrying about running out. ... show more

At first I was thrown by the board, but I really liked how it took the paint. I'm used to canvas that is very flexible, which I attach to cardboard to make it easier to paint. I also wasn't sure about mixing paints, but it's super easy since they tell you which colors to mix and it's a 50/50 blend. I'm not sure this is good for beginners. I think a little experience is helpful. Overall I loved it and felt relaxed every time I painted. I'll be buying a second time for sure. ... show more

It was easy to paint with the instructions and color of the board. Only issue was the blending. Two shades did not blend well for me. They quickly dry. Once you have painted all the areas with different colors and shades, even without blends, the end product still looks great. Nice scenery and colors. There is enough paint left. ... show more

Overall, I enjoyed the paint project. Not a quick project. Took me many hours to complete. I am definitely not an artist and I'm happy with the end product. You have to mix colors which was not ideal considering how small the paint containers are. I would have paid more to just have all the colors already mixed... The small details were impossible to do with the provided brush. I used a sharpie and paint markers for the stars and even then they did not turn out as well as I would have liked. The picture looks more purple on the box. In reality, it's all shades of blue. ... show more

I loved this Fairy picture. I have done many paint by numbers, but this one made me the happiest. It turned out beautiful, but most importantly, I had such a good time doing this, I couldn't stop. This is addictive. It is so awesome, that I want to buy another one just to experience it again. Also, very important, the brush that came with it and the paints are a much superior quality comparing to other paint by numbers on amazon. I treasure the brush now, and use it on other paint by number projects I bought. The bush made it very easy to paint teeny-tiny hairs of the 2 fairies. It comes on a sturdy hard carton, not a rolled material like other pbn. I am seriously considering ordering another one. I wish I could buy this for friends as a gift. ... show more

I truly loved this project! I got it too hang in my daughter's bedroom and I think it is perfect for that purpose. I was disappointed at the instructions on what to do when the lines were dashed instead of solid. You were supposed to somehow blend the colors, but I couldn't make it work, so I just did solid sections. I think it makes it look more like a coloring book page, but still perfect for my 8 year old! ... show more

I bought this to paint for a gift to my granddaughter. I don't mind mixing some of the colors, each painting is unique that way. Wish the paint had better coverage so that 1 coat was enough, but overall a great product for the price. I think it turned out great.
