This carrier is a great choice for a small dog — the 17lb puppy I got this as a gift for is used to the carrier so he was able to adapt comfortably. My 16lb dog who is not comfortable in small travel carriers found this to be a little too cramped for her liking — definitely better for dogs on the smaller side or cats. It is amazingly secure in the car and I’m glad we went with a crash tested carrier. One major design flaw — the clasp on the top popped out of ours with the puppy moving around and being excited when getting out of the carrier. The puppy was then able to push his way out of the carrier because he could just push his head up against the zipper top and it would open — it was extremely unsafe! We ordered an exchange and it has been working well so far, so I think it was a hardware dud with the original carrier. The zipper and clasp design is super convenient and the zipper is high quality, but the clasp is definitely a weak point. The exchange we got had updated packaging and the carrier itself seemed slightly different/improved so maybe we got an older one. ... show more

For me and my dog, pet safety is a must, and this is one of the better CPS carriers in my opinion. It was especially useful during my recent long haul business class flight, and it is by far the best pet product I use in my daily life.

A substantial well built pet carrier but very overpriced and that works best in vehicles with European right hand driver position. I will explain. If you mount the carrier in the right hand front seat (not the safest place, seat belts off or on) the end of the carrier with screen , visibility and access is facing the door, no access or visibility if you want to check on you pet. If you want to use the top for access it is also facing the door, not very convenient. The same scenario if you put it in the back seat on the right, your pet cannot see you. If you put it on the drivers side (not the safest place) your pet cannot see you, only able to see the passenger door. Obviously built for the European market not USA. If this carrier were bidirectional I would give it four stars, one off for the very high price. I am sending it back too bad as I really like it even if it is useless to me. Solution: Buy a European auto, forget about seeing your pet on the trip, buy a different carrier (Pod). ... show more

I’m a fan of the brand and their safety features (this is my second purchase from them!) However, I was extremely disappointed to open the box and find that the new carrier I bought had fur in it and was obviously used. Will update this review depending on how the situation is handled.

This is the highest quality travel carrier I've seen or had. Not only is it constructed of durable high quality materials, but actually passed crash tests and is rated. This is intended for travel and it's features reflect as so. It's shape is similar to a duffle bag with low head clearance for your pet, it's intended to fit under the seat in front of you, making it so your pet will only be laying down. You'll definitely want to verify with your airline acceptable dimensions for an under seat pet carrier. I shared photos of my airline approved coach class under seat bag and this is wider. See my photos. This has 2 exterior zippered pockets, and a hidden zippered pocket. They are ample to house flatter items. The door openings are at the top, which has an escape proof twist button, and the end cap door has longer zipper pulls you can zip tie together so your pup doesn't nuzzle it open. The removable, thin padded, brushed microfiber covered bed, has bolstered sides which are for holding the rigid plastic base plate to secure the potty pads. The base plate is stored under the bed when not in use. This works well. They send a sample potty pad which they sell in packs. Not only are the appropriately sized, but they have adhesive strips to help keep it in place. This is ventilated on 3 sides and the top. One of the small ends has a pocket under the mesh window which allows me to slip a rechargeable small fan in place for better circulation. My only minor gripe is the hard plastic seatbelt keepers don't allow the belt stop on my 2018 Ram 3500 to pass through making it have some slack. I also wouldn't have minded a lighter color interior so I can actually see my pup at a glance. I'm quite pleased with it overall and find it to be the best design and quality for travel.     • Too small for 10lb toy poodle
I looked at the dimensions and this seemed like my little 10lb toy poodle would fit perfectly. Packaging was good and everything was crisp and fresh upon opening. The instruction cards were nice and easy to read. The designs are well thought out and it feels like it really will keep your little pet secure, but LITTLE is the operative word. My tiny dude would never be comfortable in the this. He has to lay down to close the top and he can't turn around in it, either. For air travel, I wouldn't do that to him for hours on end. I'm super bummed because the materials look and feel great and with the swappable absorbent pad, zipper catch locks, and overall design, it looks awesome. I just won't stuff my dog in there and risk his comfort. ... show more
