  • Pretty good.
Size: Twin/Full Color: Black
Installation was pretty easy as far as bunk beds go. Seems like it's not going to fall apart. Not much to say really it does what it says it's going to and it doesn't fall apart. Make sure you have plenty of open space to assemble in a second person would make it much easier. Loctite works well and make sure once you've assembled everything you go right back through retighten all the screws. ... show more

  • The price gets five stars, even with minor flaws.
Size: Twin/Twin Color: Black
Please be aware that I am giving this five stars because I have searched in stores and online without finding a bunk bed this inexpensive that has the weight capacity of this one. I have a teen and preteen, so a bed with a 100 lb. weight limit is out of the question. This bed has a 200 lb. top bunk weight limit, so that alone makes it five stars for the price. However, there are a few very minor issues, mostly with the paint job, that might irritate someone who expects perfection at even this rock bottom price. For me, they aren't enough to deduct points from the product. I did not expect a $1000 bed for $160, so I was fine with the tiny flaws. There are a couple of spots where the paint just didn't cover well, and they look almost rusty. It's not the full-on, metal weakening type, but just bare metal, untreated look. They are near the spots the bed joins, so once everything was together, you don't even see them. The slats apparently rubbed together during shipping, and the paint on them is scuffed; again, it's minor, and it looks as though it happened during shipping. The slats were the only thing not individually wrapped, so the rubbing isn't even visible. The bolts do extend from the bed; they aren't flush with the metal. However, they are rounded and coated, so I don't see this as a problem, either. They are intended to be that way. One thing that irritated me a little is that one of the slats is bent. That seemed odd, because it's the only one and they were together in the box, so it seems like it was that way before shipping. It's not enough to affect the sturdiness of the bed. I put that slat near the head of the bed, so little weight will be on it, just in case. Now for the good parts. This bed is very sturdy, very heavy, and it doesn't squeak or sway. While it is very tedious to assemble, it is simple and the instructions are great. Everything you need is included in the box. The instructions say you need two people to assemble it, and that it takes two hours. I HIGHLY recommend that you get help with this, if you can. I couldn't, and I assembled it alone in about an hour, but it was a pain. One warning: the instructions say not to tighten the bolts until the bed is completely assembled, and I cannot stress this too much. DO NOT TIGHTEN THOSE BOLTS UNTIL THE BED IS COMPLETELY ASSEMBLED. I hand-tightened them, and had to take some out a bit, because I had tightened them too much, just with my hands. Update: I bought this in September 2015. In May 2018, it's still strong and sturdy, though squeaky. It has been a great value for me. ... show more

  • Mostly awesome, definitely worth it.
Size: Twin/Twin Color: Black
A little rust on the inside of the poles but no biggy, ittl be dry so I don't see how it could worsen. I like the size in hight and length. I got the black twin/twin and put it together fine with a little help from my 9 yr old. Maybe took an hr in all but I took little breaks. The bad part.. the 2 very end slats (1 on each side) won't secure into place even with everything tightend up but I don't think ittl be a fall risk. Definitely feels sturdy! Nothing was missing but they sent extra pieces just in case. It does have a few dings but I'm not picky! Everything was labeled correctly 😁🔥💯 ... show more

  • Sturdy and great for the price
Size: Twin/Twin Color: Pink
My kids room was pretty small for having two beds and I was looking to save some space. This bed for perfectly! My fiance assembled it and didn't have too much trouble and it is very sturdy. The only thing to know is the space between the bottom and top bunks is ideal for a smaller child, but definitely not a taller teen! ... show more

  • Good bed, pain in the rear to assemble!
Size: Twin/Full Color: Silver
The product had dents in it upon arrival and it has a rusty layer near some of the holes. I would have returned it but I already had to wait days due to a shipping delay so I made it work. It was easy to understand the instructions, just physically hard to put together. I would strongly suggest using more fore sight. The bottom piece that the ladder will attach to has a tiny hole. Make sure that It is facing your ceiling and THEN make sure that the holes for the ladder are near the back of the bunk bed and then make sure the top ones will align. I had to flip and flop this piece SO many times!! It moves a lot when there is someone on top (54lb give year old) or climbing on top, but it seems pretty safe and sturdy. (The manual says 200lbs on top and 450 on bottom). It came with spacer lock things for the slats, so that helps the mattress from sagging and prying apart the slats. The rail for this bed is about level with my son's mattress with his 3" foam topper. We have a safety rail added to it for momma's comfort. It took me probably 3-4 hours to put together. That included me trying to wrangle and 1&5 year old and a break for pizza while doing the assembly all alone. I really like that the color, it is more gray and not silver, it looks more neutral and masculine for my boy's room. It comes with 2 ladders that are bolted on. The ladders have rounded steps, like a tube. I'm pointing this out because some ready to assemble beds, such as the last loft bed I assembled have square ones that are brutal on your feet! It's not too tall. There's a decent amount of space from top to ceiling and from bottom bunk to the top bunk. There's also a good amount of space under it which could give you a lot of storage! I'm giving only 3 stars due to just how big of a pain it was to put together and because of the rust and dents. I would suggest this style of bed, but If you have a way to do it, I would suggest to pick it up in a store and to make your man do it. My husband would have helped, but my stubborn self needed it now. Oh how I wish I would've waited! ... show more
