The media could not be loaded. First things first the tough system is cool but not when it gets damaged I guess in shipping as I noted a photo which the rest of the box is fine but I suspect this thing to take more of that based on the overall plastic that is on it so time will tell if it holds up. one thing to note if you plan on having more of a drawer set up than the big bulky boxes pretty good for basic tools that might be needed just don’t expect much when it comes to putting a whole lot in the drawers or at least bigger stuff. Just having regular socket set boxes take up a lot of room so I’d consider buying a socket tree to put them in to save space if you have need for more room. I do love dewalt and even though that one spot is there from shipping issues I won’t deduct stars because it’s only gonna get worse for my use ... show more

This is an excellent toolbox. The drawers glide easily, the latches that hold them closed work great and each drawer has plenty of room. I used this on a shelf where I used to keep a standard toolbox and it works great since it allows me to access the tools just by opening a drawer. I liked it so much I bought two. ... show more

Like everything in the ToughSystem line, it is well build and sturdy. I was pleased that it seems to lock into place with other ToughSystems boxes easily without a lot of hunting and moving around. This is good, because usually your hands are kind of full when you are trying to attach it. Just drop it on top, and shift it around a little if it doesn't lock in immediately. It will great you with a satisfying click when it is in place. When you make a box like this, there are always trade-offs. You want it sturdy and light weight? You are going to sacrifice space. Want space and sturdiness? You are going to sacrifice weight. I feel that this is the right balance between the three. ... show more

Fairly spacious drawers that glide smoothly on bearings with a satisfying "click" upon closing. Well built and worthy to bear the "tough system" moniker. No complaints though dewalt should have made a top handle for this unit, the side handles imo prove awkward. All in all I definitely recommend to the point I think I'll buy another one. BTW, many videos on YouTube that instruct modifying the box to give it a top handle. ... show more

Have had the tough system 2.0, 3 chest pack out for a while now. I'm an electrician and it's just simple to carry. I ran into some frustration with tool OCD and having to remove the top half chest to get into the center chest got annoying. Not anymore. Now the center chest is just these beautiful drawers. Makes for a really smooth layout between the top and middle. I also don't have to strain myself nearly as often removing the chests to get to different tools. Everything but the handsaw and a few others are accessible at all times. The drawers felt like they didn't want to connect to the bottom chest at first but it just needed a little shuffle and it clicked right in. ... show more

I like how the drawers function so far. The plastic chosen for the interior drawer sides and bottoms is questionable and doesn't seem as durable as packout and others offerings (feels more like rigid abs than polypropylene). I'll be retro fitting the upper handle as seen online and YouTube. The dewalt toughsystem clip system is still not great and the plastic molded lips/clips that lock into the latch system are not durable. However I was already bought into dewalts tough system prior to packouts launch years ago and the only truly redeeming quality to toughsystem is the ds carrier and the ability to fabricate rack systems for their ds brackets with 1" square tubing or use pairs of large metal "L" brackets screwed to plywood. The ability to pull individual boxes out of the rack and carrier still makes up for toughsystems other shortfalls. For what it's worth, for most users, I would invest in the drawer boxes and parts organizers and not buy the standard boxes of any manufacturer unless you absolutely need the larger sizes for a specific storage need. The drawers make getting to tools, bits and parts much easier than stacking and unstacking boxes, both in a van or truck and on site. Packouts cleat system is still superior but dewalts drawers and boxes can be had much cheaper , especially with Home Depot's new buy more and save on toughsystem. These drawers definitely are closer to systainer durability than packout but for personal use and owner operators who take care of their tools and equipment they are definitely plenty robust. ... show more

    • Needs to have a top center handle added!

A great tool box, as would be expected from DeWalt. No longer digging through a deep box to retrieve tools or parts - the drawers are perfect. But it lacks (or did) a handle on the top. The side handles are nice, but many times I prefer the top handle. Fortunately, there is a YouTube video on how to add a handle on the top: "Top Handle Mod for DeWalt Tough System 2.0 Double Drawer Box" for $9 - Original DeWalt Part # H1400196008 HANDLE.
