As the other reviews expressed, the throat plate does come a little warped in the middle, where it doesn't fit in flat like the factory metal throat plate does. I would gladly pay extra for a metal fabrication, but DeWalt doesn't always consider quality over profit for the end user. There are a number of things I have bought from DeWalt that failed to measure up to quality. The warping is not a deal breaker, it works. the throat plate only rises maybe 3/16 above the surface in the middle, but this defect doesn't at all obstruct pushing material across the table. ... show more

The Positive : 1) it’s yellow :-) 2) this is a genuine dewalt factory product . So it fits the saw as well as the stock plate would ( which on dewalt saws isn’t great anyhow ) . The bad - 1) all plastic . 2 ) the quality isn’t equal to the price . Never mind that this should just come with your saw when it’s new ! 4) mine was slightly warped with a twist right out of the box 5) because it’s plastic , it’s near impossible to adjust the twist and warp of the plastic plate . If it was metal , you could just bend the defect out of it ! Probably will send mine back and just make my own 0 clearance dado plate . I installed this on a DWE4791RS type 10. The fit is great! Use the four screws to get a good fit, just like the stock throat plate. Adjust the screws before grinding down the sides of the plate. It has the same locking parts as the stock throat plate. However the finger hole does not feel as comfortable as the stock plate becasue it has a smaller cavity. It is made out of plastic and it is not the nice reinforced plastic you get with Dewalt power tools. After adjusting the plate it will still look like it is not perfectly flush. However when you cut the wood, it will push down on the plate and make it flush with the table. I think this is possible because of the cheaper plastic Dewalt used. It is lower quality than the stock throat plate, but it works considering the options. The price is a con. It works and I am sure it will last me for a while but, for the price I expected better materials from Dewalt. The dado plate falls short of the quality of the machine you will install it in. I gave four stars because it does what it is supposed to do but, I expected better quality from Dewalt for the price. Pros: - Good fit - It works - Adjustment features - It seems you can fit the the widest dado blade you are supposed to use with a DWE4791RS - At least the plastic is thick, is that a pro or a settlement? Cons - It is the cheaper platic - Lower quality than the stock throat plate - Price - Does not look flush after you adjust it - No the same quality feel you get with other Dewalt products ... show more

lot of people giving bad review because nylon shroud inside saw interferes with left side bottom of plate.when you first install it ,yes it sticks up a little, all you have to do is simply put something with a little weight on it overnight or for a few hours and the nylon will conform to it, i personally used a plastic container of framing nails for weight,as for the complaint about it being plastic yes it is not metal like the original throat plate but it is rigid and serves it's purpose well,gave it 4 stars because they did not make it metal like the original throat plate. ... show more

Can only do a 3/4" stack with these on my table saw but the throat plate is quality .. it's DeWalt !
