  • Tested and worked just like the good factory one I put back in
Look up how to test these with a multimeter while tapping them. This one worked fine with one of the factory ones I put back in. Some cheaper knock sensors I ordered were both dead. Lesson learned, stick with a good name like Delphi when the sensor is expensive or difficult to replace. Delphi was good enough for GM to buy their computers and other sensors. ... show more

  • Work great so far.
I ordered 3 of these. Not the new ones the ones that were cheaper an said used like new. I have a 04 tahoe and needed to change intake gaskets. I didn’t want to change my knock sensors cause I’ve never had a light for them. And have seen how u can change them then have issues. I don’t wanna pull my intake off again. It was my first time it took me 3 hours. 1 hour getting my injectors un plugged. I didn’t want to break the clips. I have the 5.3 flex fuel the injector plugs are unlike any other ones I’ve seen. The have a metal tab u have to pull up then press on it to release. They don’t release to great. But I got it off. Then checked my knock sensors and they looked brand new so was gonna leave them. But the top was so brittle it broke when I un plugged them. So I went ahead and put these Delphi sensors in. I first ordered 2. They were different looking. ( nothing like the pictures) Didn’t like that so I ordered another one and I got 2 finally that look the same. I also had the new harness and Felpro gaskets. Anyway it’s been a little over a week and I’ve not had any codes knock on wood an my fuel trims went from 25 to 0. Awesome. The date is 12/18/20 I will update if needed ... show more

  • Pay more get GM ones
Didn't fix the knock sensor code. Pulled them out to replace with GM ones and the thread broke off inside engine. I torqued them to 15 ft lbs and can only assume this is a rare occurrence. Just not worth the headache.

  • Best Knock Sensor you can get.
Better than what I had originally installed. These are oem. Ac Delco uses these and puts their label on them. Ac Delco is not a manufacturer.. They are a certification. AcDelco Professional is the minimum requirement spec. Specialist is parts that Exceeds OEM Specs or performance. OEM is OEM. These are the part you want. Get the GM harness. The dorman and other knock offs will look identical but will fall apart in under a year. (Connectors break, corrode etc due to cheap material) EDIT* - Engine blew up at 25**** miles. Installed 2007 used lower mileage engine. Sensors were re-used in the new engine. Still working flawlessly and had installed new delphi o2 sensors. Oem was denso but the delphi are working great. Haven't had any SEL since delphi parts were installed. Fuel mileage increased significantly. ... show more

  • 2003 Chevy Tahoe 5.3 flex with 180,000 miles...
Ordered these for my Tahoe because my check engine light came on, and I received the code P0327 (knock sensor 1 circuit low input bank 1). I did a little research on this code, and found out that this is a common issue with GM engines, and that I needed to replace the knock sensors. So, I ordered 2 of these sensors, the harness for them, and some new FEL-PRO intake manifold gaskets. Once all the parts arrived, I started tearing into my truck and found that the front knock sensor (bank 1) was completely underwater and very rusted. After soaking up the water, and clearing out all the debris in the holes, I installed the new sensors, harness and the intake manifold gaskets. My truck seemed to run fine for approximately 1.5 days before receiving another check engine light code of P0332 (knock/combustion vibration sensor 2 circuit low bank 2). Frustrated (since the first time I removed the manifold took me about 6 hours), I removed the intake manifold again, and I decided to experiment with the new sensors. I switched the two sensors (bank 2 sensor installed in bank 1 and vice versa) and after clearing the code and driving for a few hours, I received my original code of P0327 again. Tired of doing the same job twice, I coughed up the money and went to the dealership and purchased OEM knock sensors and a new harness. The parts from the dealership were approximately $260 and I paid about $160 for the dead knock sensors, harness and the intake manifold gaskets. Amazon was amazing, and refunded me for the knock sensors and the harness once they received the returned items, and I learned a valuable lesson. If you're going to make a repair yourself and you know that it may be labor intensive, save yourself a headache and BUY OEM PARTS! Don't take a chance with knock-off parts. So far, the OEM parts are working as they should, but it also has only been about 2 days. ... show more

  • Delphi quality is top notch
Replaced intake gaskets on our 2003 Tahoe (known issue with these) and although the knock sensors were not causing any problems, I decided while I had things torn apart to replace them anyway and avoid a potential future problem of having to tear into the engine again. The Delphi's are the same as the ACDelco, only a few bucks cheaper. These came individually in their own box and were labeled Made in Mexico. They looked the same as the OEM units. I replaced the wiring harness as well with a new Dorman harness (I was impressed with the quality of the Dorman). I performed the swap out about a month ago and all is fine & well. Plenty of Youtube videos available to help out with the replacement procedure. Do heed the advice of many...do not buy the cheaper knock sensors....you will regret it and have to do the job over again...so, do it right the first time and use the Delphi or ACDelco. ... show more
