  • A fun little calendar
This is a fun little calendar that I am looking forward to using in the next year. I've flipped through it to see what I have to look forward to & there is of course lots of recipes, things from no-bake bars, salads, soups, & full blown entrees. It also has little sections with smaller pointers - how to make the best pancakes or soup mix ins, for example. There's even blank recipe cards in the back to add your own recipes. The calendar is a weekly calendar, meaning you flip to a new page every Sunday. The pages themselves are bright & colorful & full of pictures of all the yummy recipes & other foods. Am I planning on making everything in the calendar? Definitely not! But I am hoping it'll give me a few good pointers I've never heard (can always learn something new!) and if it can help here & there during a recipe slump, then even better! If you've ever found yourself on delish's website or even if you haven't, this is a cute calendar & I would recommend it for yourself or as a gift to a foodie friend. ... show more

  • Gift worthy
This is nice enough for a gift but I am definitely delving into some new recipes next year. I run out of ideas when I work too much but like to cook at home, so this will help me think outside of our routine meals and I won’t go down a rabbit hole on the internet looking for something new.

  • Fun and convenient
This desktop calendar will have a home in my kitchen desktop next year, since it is dated 2025. It contains many clever recipes and also has pictures and complete descriptions of the recipe. This will be helpful for me as I am a meal planner and I like to plan my meals out a week in advance so having some suggestions from this calendar will be super helpful. I also think it will become a conversation piece when family and friends visit and see it on the kitchen work area. The recipes seem easy to follow and range from somewhat elaborate to very easy and I will definitely be trying many of these. ... show more

  • Eh
I've been cooking since I was 10, so for about 30 years now. Maybe that makes me not the right person for this cookbook calendar. Maybe someone less experienced would find this more interesting. While I didn't expect to be blown away by every recipe, considering there are only 52 recipes, I expected more. Dutch baby, taco soup, and smash burger recipes have been plastered on every cooking site since they went viral 10ish years ago. Most of the other recipes became common dishes so long ago that your grandma probably has them handwritten on a note card somewhere. A cheese omelet, broccoli cheddar soup, banana pudding with nilla wafers, sheet pan sausage and vegetables, bisquick peach cobbler, chicken and rice, oreo pie, those bunny cupcakes that the churches have been serving at their easter picnics since at least the 80s... Don't get me wrong, the recipes seem well written and like they will turn out fine, but I can easily find these anywhere. There is a photo of cranberry stuffed cinnamon rolls that looks interesting, but unfortunately that recipe wasn't included. The QR codes are basically useless. They just direct you to the Delish site where you are promted to pay for a subscription to gain access. The book itself is well organized. It's clearly printed and easy to read. They have done a good job of keeping the directions short and simple. The calendar portion is a handy feature. It comes with a page of cute stickers and a bookmark. The stand holds up well. The book it sturdy and well made. As far as quality, it's nice. This might make a nice gift for a young person just starting to get into cooking. ... show more
