There are plenty of options for Pikler-style climbing sets in the marketplace today, and many of them are similar in size, scope, and function. While this climbing set does have many of the same ladder, slide, and arch features of many of the other PIkler sets available, and it does offer the same level of quality and durability as many of these other products... this particular Pikler combo sets itself apart in two ways. First, the Pikler triangle in this set is full adjustable, which has proven very beneficial to our growing kids. With a two and four year old in our house, their old "obtuse-angled" Pikler triangle ladder doesn't offer much by way of challenge anymore. This is largely due to the fact that the ladder is so low to the ground. With this set we can adjust the PIkler ladder to a tighter angle, which increases the height and pitch. In turn, our kids are putting this to use much more than their old Pikler triangle. Second, this Pikler set is absolutely beautiful in comparison to many of the other standard natural wood Pikler combo sets available elsewhere. The pastel paints used on this set are aesthetically pleasing and fit well in just about any motif. As a result, this set is more of a piece of furniture than it is a toy to tuck away in a corner. I can't communicate how wonderful the coloration is on this set. It really is impressive. Given all of the above, we have zero complaints about this Pikler set.     • Unable to Put Together
This product was so poorly made, the slats that are supposed to go on the bridge are all cut in slightly different sizes and angles so the longest board kept all others from putting securely, they did not fit in the slots that were supposed to hold them. I'm not sure if the paint finish made them too big or if they were cut too big to begin with, either way they did not fit. Don't waste your time or money. I didn't even try to put the other pieces together as I assumed the quality was the same. Such a headache. ... show more

More the. One whole had stuff caked I. It n wouldn’t thread need to ask my partner to fix the threading of the wholes to make it work. Don’t buy this producted other expecting to put it together w the tools they send

So we had a couple of mis aligned peices and damaged on arrival hardware so the putting together part of the day was unpleasant but after a couple of fixes and a hardware store run we were in business. The kids seem to love this and it is very versitile!

    • Use a cordless drill to assemble! Product good, assembly instructions not so much.
Like most Chinese do-it-yourself assembly items these days, this one relies on pictographs to explain how to assemble it. Although I've put together MANY others, I found this one harder than most to understand. Your brain has to fill in the blank of what to do with four of the boards, and the depiction of how two of the larger pieces fit together is overly complex. Once you figure it all out, the product seems well-designed and properly manufactured. MOST IMPORTANT: use a cordless drill with an Allen wrench head to drive the bolts into place. This will cut your assembly time by probably 80%, no exaggeration - there are 32 bolts, all of which require a LOT of rotating that is not accomplished easily or quickly with an Allen wrench. ... show more
