My wife wanted some small shelves over her nightstand and these Decluttr shelves matched the finish perfectly so I gave them a shot. The good: The material is light but they actually hold a lot. The finish looks good on my set. Great price. The bad: Requires drilling holes in order to mount them. The shelves look nice and feel sturdy. Once mounted they are pretty solid and can hold a good amount. Mounting can be an issue as it requires drilling holes in the wall. There isn't a bracket so you need to install the included "screws" that actually stick out and are used as posts to hold the floating shelves. You will need to make sure that you install them level or the shelves will be crooked. Thankfully, I read another reviewers tip for using masking tape and marking where the holes go so it was MUCH easier. If you are looking for floating shelves to display things, these are a great option. They aren't going to hold your book collection, but they will hold plenty of lighter things. Installation isn't that difficult, but does require some care and detail. For $18 (the price at the time of this review) you can't go wrong. ... show more

I have had several different types of floating shelves. This are nice. The quality is good. Most of the other shelves give you a piece of tape to help line up the holes onto the wall, this set does not. Easy enough to make your own, but would have been nice. Sorry it’s not the greatest picture after zooming in, but I wanted to show how much can actually fit on these…even though they are smaller shelves! These were a little darker than I thought they would be, but it still worked in the space. You 100% need a drill to install these. The “screws” are actually more like drill bits that go about halfway into the wall and leave metal posts that the shelves fit on. Tip: We put masking tape across the back, poked holes where each screw went, taped it to the wall where we wanted it, used a level on the tape until it was straight, then drilled the posts in. I cannot foresee this going well if you don’t do this, bc there are four posts on each one and kind of fat holes left behind. They felt very sturdy after installing and we put quite a few things on the shelves without feeling like anything would ever give out. These are okay. Mine have a gap on some where the top/bottom meets the side. It doesn't look that great. The front looks okay though. They don't have the best feel, kind of cheap, but okay. The installation is kind of tricky because of the hook-style attachments on the back. I would suggest attempting to use masking tape to lay over the back and mark it or something because it is tricky. I also don't feel the most secure about putting anything too heavy on the shelves. The anchors supplied aren't very good, so I would suggest purchasing different ones. Overall I was kind of disappointed in the look and the way it attaches to the wall. I definitely would not get these again but they are okay now that I have them. ... show more

Great quality and sturdy. The shelves are not flimsy but I wish the installment process was better. I do not like that I had to drill 4 individual holes as I live in an apartment complex. Wish it was maybe some L brackets to hold it in place instead to avoid drilling so many holes. Other than that the shelves seem to be holding on pretty great. ... show more
