I was surprised that this product both held up AND washed out completely! I used it on a delicate material and there wasn’t a trace or stain left!!!! It was also fitting for the purpose of faking a stabbing for my performance.

Overall, it's a good starting kit, but the scar wax is on the harder side. It takes a bit to get it to the right consistency. I have to let it sit on my skin for a bit to let it warm up. The wax can also fall off your skin too, but that can be fixed by applying some spirit gum. The blood is great, it has a really nice deep red to it, but it is on the chunky side. So, it looks better for scabs instead of dripping wounds. The stipple spoon is great it's a nice durable metal and easy to clean, the texture sponges are good quality too. ... show more

Good set I love both the wax and the blood gel. I’m not an expert but I’ve been using these types of things for years making cool wounds for my kids home movies and Halloween. The blood gel is thick and makes applying it super easy. The scar wax is nice and thick you just put it on and then cut it down the middle and add powder and blood to get a great realistic looking wound/scar. I immediately started playing with this when it came so I didn’t use any powders to add depth and detail but I’m still happy with how it turned out.
