    • Good skate shoes that can take a beating
After burning through 3 pairs of slip-on vans for my skate shoes I decided to try something different in hopes that I would get more longevity out of them, and these shoes have not disappointed me. They are comfortable, durable, and a good value for the price point. They feel light on my feet, and my ankles feel slightly more protected while I'm skating. I have been skating them fairly consistently for a few months now and they have held up much better than my other skate shoes, especially on the soles where they tend to wear out first for me. My only problem with them so far has been that the laces are way too long and I often have to tuck them in to avoid tripping or ripping them on my grip tape. DC have always been good shoes. I usually get the standard ankle height DC, but decided to try these and wasn't disappointed. They still have the thick padding inside just like the regular. They are snug though. Normally I buy a half size down because my feet are big but narrow. With these I would order my exact size next time. ... show more

This is my first pair of DC brand shoes so I wasn't sure what to expect. I bought them true to size & on the first day I wore them, my right foot felt a bit too tight near the pinky toe but by the next day it was much more comfortable. I've since then, tried using different thickness of socks to see how it'd feel and even with my thickest wool socks I have a good amount of room in them so it doesn't feel like the toes are scrunched up in there or rubbing against the sides. So far I'd say I'm happy with this pair of sneakers. I wear them around all day and haven't felt any discomfort since the first day's experience and that's been about 6 days now.
