Had to have the regulator replaced right out of the box I put the alternator on and at idle it would barely charge and I would give it gas and it would spike real high took it to the alternator repair shop and had a new regulator installed and works perfect now but you should not have to do this with a brand new alternator it was just easier for me to have it fixed than to send it back and it take a week to get a new one ... show more

    • Does not put out voltage at idle
defective, I ordred to replace my OE unit that worked but bering was starting to make noise . Unfortunately can't return because I installed it a month after it came in and the return window is 30 days. Emailed manufacturer and didn't hear anything back, do not recommend this company at all. Car idles in drive at about 550RPM this alternator doesn't put out voltage till about 750RPM so when driving its fine ,when stopped no good and battery light will eventually come on ... show more

DO NOT AND I MEAN DO NOT BUY THIS ALTERNATOR, YOU MAY GET 2 MONTHS AND IT DO NOT CHARGE AT IDLING SPEED AT ALL AND THAT WAS BRAND NEW, I BIT THE BULLET AND DELT WITH IT BUT IT TOTALLY WENT OUT, AND AFTER TRYING TO RETURN AFTER 2 MONTHS…GOOD LUCK

Received the product, and due to a collision, didn't install it for more than a month. This is a direct replacement for the 2003 Ford Crown Victoria alternator, and took about 15 minutes to install. Nicely built, well packed and constructed. Unfortunately, the charge rate and other things had problems, and the slip that came in the box with the connections and output curves, blew away. (was working outside) Contacted 'customer support' at DB Electrical, and was advised that there is no Tech support for these products, as they are 'made in China'. When I asked then, for the website of the manufacturer in China.....was told that it isn't available. Not particularly happy. YOU WILL NEED TO INSTALL A SMALLER PULLEY ON THE ALTERNATOR TO ACHIEVE CHARGING AT IDLE. ... show more
