Like a child opening gifts on Xmas, I was jubilant receiving the package that contained new underwear for my package. The rave reviews got me excited and I spend the day staring out the window waiting for the white sprinter to pull up to the house. Praise Bezos for the speedy delivery. I opened the box, slowly unravelling the first pair, I took the fabric against my cheek. Was that a spark? Could I be falling in love? Be careful, I said, don't let another pair break your heart. I looking at you Mr Thomas Johnathan. Yes, I selected the quick wash on the Maytag as to not delay. This could be the one. Finally, I was ready to don the new bamboo. Wow, the silky, butter smooth texture. The cupping support....amazing. Was it time for me to open my heart again? Yes, I said, gliding across the room. Whoa, what is that? Did I forget to remove some tags? Cardboard? Why no. The designers thought it was appropriate to put a seam from the top of the balls down to the taint. You know, the most sensitive skin on a man's body. But this is not just any seam. It is thick and durable, similar to what you would expect on the sail of an America's Cup boat. While I need that type of durability when crossing oceans, it is not necessary when crossing the the yard. The feeling can be best described as rubbing the backside of your jewels with a kitchen microplane that you would typically use to grate some aged Parmigiano Reggiano atop your pappardelle. Like discovering a watermelon is rotten after splitting it, I am not comfortable returning previously worn undergarments for a variety reasons. Giving Alexa access to my DNA is a serious risk. 2 stars, 2nd star because these are better than using other plants, such as poison ivy leaves, to cover your junk. ... show more

Long lasting, durable, comfortable, and excellent crotch space. Does not restrict your part, so it will show better than when in tighter underwear. Have had the four-pack for years now and they're still my favorite underwear.

I have spent a year testing different types of underwear because I could never get any boxer briefs that fit me well. I have tried Tommy John, Duluth Bullpen, Hanes, Fruit of the Loom and these. These fit small. I am 6’5” and 42 waist. They are soft, but snug. They do not ride up but ALL of them ride down showing plumbers crack or man cleavage. So my final verdict on these, better than Fruit of Loom but not the others. Duluth has them all beat, then TJ, Hanes, David Archy and FL. I do also have a Saxx brand which I forgot. Those rate after Hanes. The best fabric was Tommy John, by far. The most comfortable fit was Duluth. These are not high end. Maybe thats why a 3 or 4 pack is as much as the others. I will not buy these again. Maybe if they had bigger, they might be better. ... show more

Really just wonderful. I've been gradually learning about things like underwear - it wasn't something I was taught about 60 years ago (because everything was basically a flour sack), and I hadn't thought there could be such a difference. I graduated out of the white briefs I was brought up to wear many years back, into boxer briefs. Those were more comfortable and I liked the basic ones I'd been wearing until recently they weren't working well for me - after an extended bout of crotch rot. I tried many different styles looking for something that cupped the man-parts well without crimping, as well as shielded my legs from chafing. I stopped looking when I found these. They are just heavenly. The material is light and very soft, yet solid enough to offer the protection I need. They basically feel like I'm not wearing anything, because of this and because they don't force anything into unnatural positions if you get my drift - yet at the same time they do a good job preventing flopping about. The leg length is about perfect - the 3" length of many boxer briefs is too short, and the 9" length is way too much for my comfort. The 4.5" length of these amply covers what it needs to and doesn't feel confining. Anything that isn't tourniquet tight will ride up with enough bending and moving, but I've been very pleased with these - they don't ride up with "normal" walking, sitting and even dance class. Some adjustment is needed when doing a lot of fairly strenous movement, but that is easily dealt with - and because the fabric is so light isn't really all that bothersome. There's no seam up the back as some reviews have reported. The stitching is well done and they seem well made. My only complaint, if it is one, is that they are way over-packaged. It's nice for a gift, but doesn't seem necessary. I also do like the easy-off tags - just don't try to rip them both off at once: rip off the top one and the bottom just falls off. ... show more

This was my third pack of underwear by David Archy. Some insight, I normally wear 36" pants which fit loose on my waist, but 34" waist pants are too small. With any other traditional brand of underwear, I buy a size smaller because I like a snug fit. Since I have bought these in the past, I knew not to buy a smaller size. This time I bought a size L which should be the "correct" size. The waist on these is just plain tight; the rest of the underwear are perfect. I had to return them and buy an XL. It seems weird to me that I wear a 36" but have to buy 40" – 42" underwear.. It should be the opposite. I measured a new, unwashed pair of LARGE underwear and they were 15.5" wide, ~32" in circumference. Even with a minor amount of stretch, that's 33-34" waist. Too tight for a 36" waist. With all that said, David Archy underwear are amazing, just order larger than you need. ... show more

I absolutely love these underwear, I love how they hold everything where it is supposed to be, super comfortable and soft. I love how they have a fly which isn’t common in a lot of trunks or underwear. I wear a large and they fit great, my waste is about 36 inches. Well, where the underwear rests under my belly. Which is another reason why I love these underwear, even though they rest under my belly, they don’t sag down and feel like they are loose and baggy, they still hold everything in it’s place. ... show more
