  • One of the best ports
If you have ever played dark souls or the remaster, or you are just a video game enthusiast who loves a challenge, I highly recommend this switch version. Controls and gameplay are suited well for the switch and you can finally bring your adventure with you anywhere. It runs great it plays great.I’ve played it 2 times before on Xbox and PlayStation and going through it again on the switch.learn to master the master of dark adventure ! Don’t miss it.!graphics remain intact as well as frame rate.a solid purchase.the game you must study to be good at at its best ! ... show more

  • Amazing port of the game
The port over plays smoothly and has a much faster frame rate than I thought it would. One of the best switch games out there period.

  • This is the European version!
I live in the United States and has purchased my first copy locally at launch, but has decided to repurchase this masterpiece again. This version is in English so you don’t have to worry if there’s a language barrier. It’s the EXACT same as the North America version, but 2 buttons are swapped. Instead of confirming with the “A” button and cancelling with the “B” button like the North America version, it’s reversed. To be quite honest, I love it because this European button swap with A and B is the exact same as the PlayStation and Xbox versions of the Souls games. Switch games aren’t region locked either. It works on any Switch console from all world regions! ... show more

  • Works with switch
As expected, it runs on the switch without lags. Playing online will make getting on the game a little slower. Turning the screen off mid-game will cause it to restart/load the title page when you turn the screen back on. It's DS1 on the go. I played while on a cruise without Internet to pass time.

  • It's Dark Souls.
I'll preface by saying I'm playing this port on a Switch Lite. I've owned the PTD edition if the game on PC for years. The switch joycon controllers arent great for it, the layout can cramp your hands and the analog sticks have trouble being pressed in for lock on without making the camera jolt a bit. Plus they have the button orientation as the other ports, so B is accept, A is cancel/run. My hands feel awkward at times switching items and camera can feel wonky around walls even with the auto wall recovery off. I don't know if auto target even works right. If you were to buy this game, and you own a Switch, play with a pro controller if possible. Despite my criticisms of the controls, I'm sure it's something I can adjust to, and having portable Dark Souls is just great to me. It's Dark Souls and I love it. ... show more
