Strong and classy. I repainted the shelves a semigloss black as the walnut finish was not dark enough to go with my espresso kitchen cabinets but it works perfect in the space. The spacing between the shelves is great. The wall anchors provided were cheap, I used metal ones bought from the hardware store. The direction sheet is minimal at best but its simple to figure out on your own. Don't let the plastic s brackets scare you. When it's on the wall its sturdy, strong, and snug.     • Seriously pretty shelves. I got a couple of kits and made a beautiful and interesting wall of shelves.
These are really pretty shelves. They are also MUCH bigger than you think they are. The description tells you how big the set is, but honestly, I was pretty surprised at how much area they covered when all put together. I bought 3 sets thinking they would make a nice arrangement on my wall if I just cascaded them downward. Not. If I did that, they would go ceiling to floor in my room. What I wound up doing was putting up the first set, then staggering another, using only two of the three shelves, and finishing with another three set at the same level as the first. It looks beautiful. I do suggest that you install them into studs. They are pretty heavy shelves and when you add your stuff, they really need the support of the studs. The manufacturer includes anchors in the kit for use in regular dry wall. I tried it one time and managed to push the anchor all the way through the dry wall. Back to the studs. I did find out something interesting about my house, though. I installed the first set of squiggles right into the stud. The next two missed the studs. The studs in my house are not plumb!!! The shelves will hold because enough of it is in studs, but it was interesting! The hardest part of installation here is deciding where the first squiggle is going to go. The rest is a piece of cake and goes in really, really fast. Yes, as others have said, the squiggles are plastic, not metal. It doesn't take away from the look of these lovely shelves. Nice shelving system. The 'metal' is actually plastic but still looks classy. Instead of stacking them as shown, I chose to stagger them for a unique asymmetrical look. They definitely add a nice touch to my modern living room.

    • Vertical brackets don't line up for seamless wave like the picture
as long as you don't care if either the shelves are level or if the lines on the wave brackets line up, then these shelves are fine. Even though the brackets are only plastic, it has a nice contemporary look - was thinking about putting in my living room but we ended up installing in my daughters room. after installing the brackets to line up, the shelves weren't level. We ended up installing with gaps between the brackets in the vertical presentation (where it should look seamless) to get the shelves level. ... show more

Such garbage. I bought it a couple years ago and never installed it - I wish I had because I would have returned it! The brackets are super cheap plastic. They don’t line up with each other correctly. The wedges don’t fit in all the way and the shelves are too loose without them. Totally not worth the money! ... show more

Cheap product. I should have read the reviews before buying - the wall mounts are made of cheap plastic. The hardware that comes with it is useless, you need better anchors because the ones they give you are breakable plastic. Buy yourself some joint compound, you'll probably need it.

The shelf looks ok from the distance but not so much up close. The silver parts are plastic, which is disappointing for the price, and the design is dumb. You have to use these shimmies to hold the boards in but there's no way to hide them. They are ugly and give away the fact that it's plastic. The shelf should be worth about half of what it's being sold for. ... show more

I'm so mad I didn't read all others' reviews! It's very cheap. Looks like metal in the photo, but it's spray-painted plastic that doesn't sit flush to the wall. The shelves are particle board with vinyl covering that doesn't even cover it well. You can see the particle board through all four edges. Sending it back even though it's a hassle. ... show more
