I love this brand and style of shoes! I always have a pair of Dansko Sophie sandals in my closet and I wear them out! Even though they are very well made and last a long time. I went looking for a new pair when my last pair was was looking a little a worn. These caught my eye: colorful and just a bit shiny- but they didn't have my size. So I waited patiently and kept checking and when they finally restocked my size I snagged them! It's easy to buy these online because they are very consistent with their sizing. I like that the uppers are made of real leather and so breath and form to your foot. The buckles are stylish but also functional. You can adjust the width to your foot. I always need to open up the top buckle by one ring. I don't know what the soles are made of but I can wear these all day without my feet hurting. I'm sure it t has something to do with the "rocker bottom". I have even worn them to amusement parks and been fine at the end of the day. They are well worth the price in my opinion. These used to come in all kinds of designs but lately I am seeing mostly solid colors. I hope they are not phasing out patterns on this style that I love so much and especially hope that they don't discontinue it! I love my Sophie's and will continue to buy them as long as they are available!! ... show more

I have a pair from probably 6 years ago, they are my fav sandals.. with a little wear and tear to them because I wore them everywhere, all the time, but they’re still good. These are more comfortable than all the shoes in my closet (except my other Danilo ashoes). I LOVE these sandals!

    • NOT True to Size
First, these are great sandals. I buy a new pair of Danskos every spring, so I have quite a collection. These are among the most comfortable of all my Dansko sandals. The footbed is the softest of any pair of Danskos I own, and the fact that it is suede keeps my foot from sliding around and makes for a more secure fit, as well as resisting that sweaty-foot feel. They are also lighter weight than similar style Dansko sandals. But please note: These do NOT run true to size, not even to Dansko size. I wear a perfect size 11US, which is a 42--NOT a 41 in European sizes, no matter what manufacturers say (including Dansko). I always wear a 42 in Dansko (and Birkenstock, and every other maker). But after reading the reviews, I ordered these in a 43. They fit exactly as a Dansko 42 usually fits. These could even stand to be a 1/4 inch longer for me. I strongly recommend ordering UP one size from your usual Dansko size, at least in the larger sizes. Second, the heel is 2.5 inches, NOT 2 inches. That may seem insignificant, but I am 5'11" and so is my husband, so that half inch makes a big difference to me. I measured the heel on these and on two other pairs of Dansko sandals in different styles that are also supposed to be two inches high, and these are most definitely a half inch taller. I will certainly be keeping these, because they are cute and comfortable and will last a long time, but the sizing is definitely not as represented, so you will want to be aware of this when ordering. ... show more

    • These are the perfect slip-on sandals
These are the perfect slip-on sandals! First, they are adorable. As my husband said, "they can't be comfortable, they aren't ugly." Honestly, you can take these out of the box and wear them all day, while your feet stay comfy. They have just the right amount of heel and a padded suede foot bed for extra cushioning and absorption. Of course, both of the straps are fully adjustable to fit your foot perfectly. In my opinion, they do run a bit small. I usually wear 40's in Dansko clogs and the 41 fits me better.This is my second pair of Dansko Sophie sandals, my first pair being the iridescent blue, which are amazing! I get compliments every time I wear them. I do wish that there was a picture posted of the strap material up close, as it is not what I was expecting. The shoe is actually lighter in color with more of the speckled color being dominant, giving them more of a gray appearance--still neutral. I considered returning them for the black shimmer, but my size was already gone. No worries. These are so comfortable that I wear them for air travel--easy to slip off and on, plus you can hike through airports without your feet aching. Perfect! If I see another color on sale, I will probably purchase. As an added bonus, they really wear well. Thanks Dansko....more please!! ... show more

I wear a US size 9 in most shoes. The arch of this shoe was snug and in the right place for me, but the footbed was too small. Based on how this fit my foot, I felt that the 9.5-10 would be too large. Also, the sole is a squishy polyurethane. At my height and weight, I felt that they wouldn't last. I buy well-made, lasting shoes, and have owned Dansko before. I read the mixed reviews, but thought these were worth a try. The straps are so lovely, though! I am sad to return them. ... show more
