  • So many compliments.
Size: 8.5-9 Color: Petrol
I have been wearing dansko’s for almost 10 years now. Love that there are so many pattern/color choices for a shoe that is not really considered “stylish”. These are the only shoes I will wear to work, they are a bit snug at first but will stretch a bit with wear. I have pairs that I’ve had for 5 years and still wear. At the end of a long day with patients my feet don’t hurt at all, not like they would when I would wear tennis shoes that were just as expensive. I usually wear an 8.5 and wear a 39. Keep in mind that your heel should slide up and down slightly when you walk for a correct fit. ... show more

Size: 8.5-9 Wide Color: Honey Distressed
Floor nurse here. Have always loved Danskos, still love Danskos. Slightly wide across the forefoot but I expected that and I compensate with slightly cushy socks. My feet are happy in these for my 12 hour shift plus my 30 minute walk home. First time I ordered this lighter color (black and dark brown before)... I like the honey, and get lots of compliments. ... show more

I've worn Dansko clogs for 10 years. I'm aware that they have moved their factory to china after their contract with Sanita ended. The quality is still good. My first pair of Oiled clogs lasted roughly 6-7 years of heavy use. I loved them. I went with patent (shiny finish) clogs in both Sanita and Danskos. All of them cracked in the toe box where it bends at your toes. 3 pairs, all the same thing, cracked leather. I hesitantly went back to the oiled clogs and gave them 1 last try. When I removed them from the box I noticed how dry they were. This was the driest, thirstiest leather I have ever seen in my life. I grew up around horses and I'm very familiar with leather oiling, conditioning, etc. I broke out the only oil I had, just plain vegetable oil. I applied it to the clogs with a paper towel. It Sucked up so much oil!! I kept applying until it could not absorb anymore oil. FYI you can use any type of medium weight oil such as canola oil, olive oil or the traditional neets foot oil for leather. leather conditioner is not enough, you need to use oil. I had a realization with the patent leather shoes. They are most likely using this same bone dry leather that they use for the oiled leather and then slap the patent finish on top. If you leave leather in that dry of a state, it will crack! So far these have been awesome and are working great. They have good arch support. They are a little wider than the Sanita clogs but not too wide. You don't' have to wear thick socks to make these stay on your feet. Remember you should be able to get a pinky width space between your heel and the back of the clog and your foot should slightly lift up out of the back of the clog. ... show more

  • The oil spill look is a coating that rubs off
Size: 8.5-9 Color: Petrol
I’m disappointed with this buy that I was very excited about ordering. My first danskos after 14yrs of nursing. They fit well. Can’t complain about that. They are on the heavier side so if you are putting on the miles across a hospital they get to be a bit much. My big disappointment is that this fun oil look is a coating on the shoes NOT part of the material therefore if you flick the brakes/drive gear on a gurney from underneath you will completely ruin the look of your shoes in one shift as I did. Now I have ugly expensive shoes 😩 ... show more

  • Questioning My Loyalty
Size: 10.5-11 Color: Black Box
I have been a big fan of Dansko for over 20 years. I've had pairs of the Professional clogs that have lasted years and years and other than a couple of barely visible scuffs, they have looked great. This most recent pair, though, has worn out like no other pair I have ever owned. I guess my toes rub sometimes when I walk. I've never noticed in any other pair of shoes, but this recent pair of Dansko clogs has shown that. Have you experienced this breakdown of the materials before? I believe they have changed the "leather" that they use. I will say Dansko customer service was great, but if this happens to my new pair, I won't be buying them anymore. ... show more

  • The. Best.
Size: 9.5-10 Color: Grey Scrunch
I've been in baking school for a couple of weeks when I started feeling my regular "best" shoes started failing. With 7 hrs on my feet and constantly moving, at the end of the day my feet felt severely punished and achy. Someone with commercial kitchen experience recommended these shoes, and after trying them on at a local store, I decided to give them a try. What an ENORMOUS difference they make! I don't have any foot pain, fatigue or discomfort. My feet are not wet. I don't get blisters. Nothing hurts anywhere. My right foot is just a tiny bit more plump, so the right shoe initially had a pressure point on the top of my arch. I saw some reviews complaining about top of the arch pain. That went away in 2 days, when the shoe stretched a tiny bit - and that tiny stretch was enough for the issue to go away completely. I am very pleased. In fact, I checked out a local outlet store and found another pair there at a comparable discounted price, and immediately bought it. I know I'll be wearing them all the time. Take it from a person who is heavy set, not super young, and has plantar fasciitis in one foot. Please note that these shoes tend to run small, so I recommend trying them on for a correct size that works for YOU, and then purchase online for better pricing. Yes, you can wear them without socks - your feet won't feel constantly wet. No, the "rocking motion" is not awkward and to me it's barely noticeable No, the constantly sliding back of the shoe doesn't rub the back of the ankle No, the shoes aren't sliding loose, if they are, you are in the wrong size. Yes, they are heavy, but they also stabilize your foot and keep it steady, so you'll never have "fall to the side" stance which eventually kills any shoe. Yes, they are leather in and out Yes, I love them very much and highly recommend to those who find themselves on their feet hours at a time. No, they don't slide on wet surfaces, but yes, they will slide on surfaces covered with dry flour just like any other shoe. ... show more

My 29 yr nursing shoe favorite! I went to Dansko after a struggle w plantar fasciitis- have never had another flare! I work 4 x 12 shifts a week, my legs and feet only survive thanks to Dansko. Dansko is the benchmark— expensive and worth it!
