Description

Daniel Defense's One O'clock Offset Rail (Rock Lock) is optimized for mounting miniature red dot optics in the O'clock (right-hand) or 11 O'clock (left-hand) positions for quick, non-magnified, transitions when employing magnified primary optics on Rifles with MIL-STD-1913 rails. The geometry allows for zero cheek-weld shift during the transition. This facilitates very fast transitions from magnified to non-magnified optics, and back. The O'clock Offset Rail can also be used to mount variety of lights or other accessories that mount to MIL-STD-1913 rail. By flipping the part upside-down, one can mount light in good position for use with vertical foregrip.

  • Not so great for offset reflex
This is fine for a flashlight but’s is not at a good angle to the barrel for an offset reflex. Go with a true 45 degree offset. The lower the better

  • Exactly Right
I needed an offset mount that would allow mounting a Vortex Venom as a secondary sight to a scope with a 50mm objective, and getting the Venom mounted out far enough to allow a clear field of view around the scope was the primary objective when I made the purchase. The DD 1 O'clock mount is perfect. First of all, the "1 O'clock" position is entirely dependent on which rifle rail it's mounted on. In other words, if you want your sight to be in the 1 O'clock position, the DD mount must be attached to the right side rail of the rifle. I shoot left handed, so this mount puts my Venom in approximately the 11 O'clock position when the mount is attached to the left side rail of the rifle. This means I only have to cant the rifle slightly in order to obtain a site picture on the Venom, and my field of view through the Venom is unobstructed by the either the scopes objective lens bell, or the parallax knob on the scope's left side. For those who complain about the mount being loose - This is a one-piece mount. There is no loose, flopping clamp that tightens with thumb pressure. The DD mount is one solid piece and requires some effort be applied when tightening the mounting bolt. Some may prefer to tighten their site mounts by hand. If you want that, buy something else. If you want a solid mount that you know will hold your site securely, this is the mount you want. ... show more

  • Great offset red dot option but needs to be extra tight
Purchased this looking for a higher offset red dot mount similar to T-Rex Arms or Arisaka but I didn't want to bother with plates or spacers. This fit the bill perfectly. My red dot (Holosun 507Cx2) ends up being high enough that it's on the same arc as my LPVO, meaning I don't need to adjust my neck or cheek weld after rotating the gun to use the red dot. Very well made and the angle is engineered so you can mount from the flat top or from a side rail and get the same viewing angle. I'm definitely glad I went with this rather than a 45 degree offset mount. The price point on this is much better than the other premium options. Only downside was the install. I, like others, was disappointed that it wobbled quite badly when first installed, even though I tightened the screw to the stop. I very nearly initiated a return after repeating the same problem on a number of different rails of many kinds, including flat top, side-mount, aluminum and even polymer. I pulled it off only to notice what appeared to be a blockage in the bottom of the screw channel. It turned out to be metal shavings from the machining process. Once I removed this I was able to get that extra half to full turn needed to make the mount rock solid. As others have said, torque this thing down and it should be good to go. ... show more

  • Clamp these down hard
When I first attached them to my rail, I was disheartened, as it would not hold the red dot in place. I know daniel defense as a quality name, and was a little surprised. I was about to chuck it, but thought, hell with it, go all out, and tightened the HELL out of it (all how to's suggested tighten, but not TOO tight). After torque-ing it about as much as I could, the thing hasn't budged since. ... show more
