  • Perfect work boot for me.
Size: 7.5 Color: Brown
These boots fit perfectly right out of the box with 0 break in time. I wore these for an 8 hr volunteer event the day after they arrived. I was moving bails of hay and mucking stalls so there were plenty of opportunities for typical discomfort with any type of new boot. I would recommend Amazon try before you buy. I am usually an 8.5 in any shoe/boot but the 7.5 fit like it was made for me. The only thing I changed after that first day were the insoles because I have high arches. Also make sure you wear high socks, I got a little chafed on my calves. Those were the only 2 discomforting aspects about these things I have experienced and I am writing this review 1 month after purchase. The quality of these is outstanding and YouTube reviews say they are "bargain" boots. Oh they are totally waterproof like they say, I stepped in a 8" puddle and didn't get wet. They look as great as they preform!!!! They clean up easy aswell. I was worried because another guy on here said he received a pair that should not have been sold and were crappy and stiff his entire time owning them so watch out for that. I highly recommend them because they are great and their look is simple, efficient and that makes them classic and elegant. ... show more

  • This is a Boot!!!
Size: 8.5 X-Wide Color: Brown
I have purchased this boot several times the last being in ‘16. Although I liked and wore that boot, it just didn’t seem quite right from a standard of look. However, when I buy a quality product I stay with it until something tells me not to. I purchased a bit larger this time because my old seemed a bit tight, but that’s really an age & weight item, not the boot. I couldn’t be happier with I believe my 4th. Purchase and they tend to look good too until about 3 years when I’ve abused them so badly they become strictly work boots. Wish they were entirely made in the USA, their plant in China is the largest in the country but at least they’ve kept the quality. Regards & Cheers to Dan Post Boots! ... show more

  • Very Comfortable and Definitely Waterproof!
Size: 11 Color: Brown
Took a chance on these for some boots that I can work, hunt, and wear in nasty weather without fear of messing up my nicer boots and I am impressed! Only had these for about a day, but wore them hunting right out of the box today and ran them through the gauntlet. It was raining off and on and the dove field was flooded so I was in ankle deep water (or deeper) and mud for about 6 hours straight. Very comfortable and feet stayed perfectly dry. At this price point these boots seem to be great for whatever you throw at them and need little to no break in time. Can’t speak to the durability just yet, but time will tell. For size reference I normally wear Tecovas in a size 11.5, but went down a half size to an 11 for these and they fit great. Easy on and off and just snug enough to feel secure with a little room for the leather to stretch over time. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • THESE ARE SOFT TOE
Size: 12 X-Wide Color: Brown
The boots seemed to be pretty good quality but they are not composite toe. I returned them and am awaiting my refund. If you need safety toe I would recommend you go elsewhere.

  • Nice boot but sent wrong boot
Size: 11.5 X-Wide Color: Tan Distressed
A few things about this boot. It is sold as a composite toe. It is 100% steel toe. Even checked with a magnet. Not sure why there is a mix up on the listing. Well the 1st pair I ordered was new but didn't come in a factory box. Just a brown amazon box. Also the boots were full of white dog hair. I don't mind getting a return that didn't fit but that's disgusting. I honestly thought they sent the wrong boot being it was a steel toe sold as a composite toe so I ordered a 2nd pair. Got the 2nd pair. This time again no factory box. Just a brown amazon box. This pair was new also and again steel toe. The main issue I have is the steel toe. The toe box area is so tight it killed my toes. The boot length was fine. Just the toe box was cramped. Needless to say I returned them both. Nice looking boot otherwise. ... show more

  • Tale of 2 pair
Size: 10 Color: Brown
A little background. I am a farmer, been wearing cowboy boots most of my life and really put them through it. From sand to mud and muck. I prefer these boots for style and the fact that I can slip them off at the door and leave the dirt there. I first came across these Dan Post boots at the local farm supply store and bought them for the look and feel. Liked them so much that when I got home I searched Amazon for the same boot, found them $20 cheaper and bought a second pair. The first pair I keep as a backup (seems when I find something that fits well and I like it they decide to no longer make it) and to wear around town. Well the pair that I bought from Amazon (In my opinion) are seconds. The leather that attaches to the outsole (the welt?) is split on both boots not a complete piece. The upper on the right boot is not centered...its shifted to the inside about a 1/4 inch. The boots I bought locally have none of these issues and I would NOT have purchased them if they did. But I figured that since I was just going to use this pair around the farm there was no use raising a fuss about them and put them to work. I had no complaints for about three weeks, than the lining in the left boot ripped right at the heel. So that when I put that boot on the lining would now gather under my heel, very uncomfortable. Nothing to do but rip out all the lining, now one boot fits a little looser than other. Also the leather welt is now starting to curl up from the outsole. My bet is just a quality control issue, time will tell on the other pair. On another note, I agree with an other reviewer. These are the same boots as the John Deere. I have a pair of insulated John Deere boots that are 3 years old now with no issues but I only wear them in the winter. Though they have been in some very nasty places. ;) ... show more
