  • I LOVE THIS HANGING MOISTURE ABSORBER
Style Name: Lavender
I live in Florida and there's a lot of moisture, I hate the smell of the house when it gets musty from humidity. For several years I've been going away for a month on vacation. Many people leave their A/C on low when they go away, but I would worry the house may catch on fire. Usually when I went away and came home the house smelled really musty. Then I found out about DampRid. Last time before I went away on vacation for a month, I bought half a dozen pots (the cheapest kind) of DampRid, and put them in the rooms, and also put scented sachets around the house. When I got home after my vacation, the house smelled lovely, and there was no damp from the humidity, instead the pots of water, with DampRid that was still working. I've been using it for a few years now, it really works well. Recently I bought this DampRid Hanging Moisture Absorber to put in my closet, I've been using it for a week and have noticed a difference, it's not overpowering at all, just a gentle pleasent clean whiff! The top part of the product (under the hanger) has the DampRid in it. Then there's a flat area undernieth that the moisture drips into. Already there's about an inch of liquid that had dripped down. I was worried there would be a mess, but it is all contained. To think the moisture would have been on my clothes without this. I've ordered several more of these because I don't want to be without them. Three in a box is a better buy than buying them individually. **UPDATE** I paid $7.97 only just recently, I just noticed it's gone up in price already to $19.55, I thought I was seeing things. I'm glad I got it when I did, I would never pay that much, I would get the cheap ones in the pots they are as good but if they tip over they could be messy, just have to be careful. ... show more

  • I can't live without these
Style Name: Lavender
There is a horrible amount of humidity in my apartment and these babies save all my belongings! I keep on in the closet and one hanging in the bathroom and not only is the air feeling so much drier, I no longer find mold growth on fabrics and my clothing doesn't smell musty. Bonus for the fresh scent. They work so well, you can see the water they suck up just faster than you can imagine, but they do last a long time too, and hold a lot of moisture. Never leak, good hanging hook, I won't ever stop using these. ... show more

  • This WORKS!
Style Name: Lavender
This product is both fascinating and terrifying. Terrifying because it will reveal just how humid your house it. Our landlord warned us there was poor ventilation, but holy cow. We have at least one of these in each closet (because my clothes started smelling musty) and they are ALL this full after just a few weeks. I think for closets the hanging style works better than the little tubs I’ve been using since the surface area of the absorption material is greater. I’ll be ordering those for the rest of my life. The scented sachets are almost overpowering at first but now it’s faded into a very light scent that isn’t too noticeable. I was worried my husband would complain about his shirts smelling like lavender (aka girly) but he hasn’t said anything (yet)! ... show more

  • Lasted about 20 days, but they were good days
Style Name: Lavender
These pretty effectively took out a lot of moisture in our windowless, small, hot bedroom. They didn't last long, but for about 20 days, our room was a lot less stuffy and uncomfortable. And it smelled better. Alas, a more long-term solution would be a better choice in our situation, but these really helped in our decision. These are CHEAP! And effective. The smell wasn't overpowering but not completely absent. ... show more

  • Great product!
Style Name: Lavender
I ordered this product based off of a recommendation from a friend to take to Mexico with us to hang in our closets in our room to soak up moisture. This product worked very well while we were there and I use the remainders at home highly recommend these for damp areas in your home. I had no issues with any leaking and these were easily disposable. I recommend this product. ... show more

  • Works perfect!
Style Name: Lavender
I recently moved into an older apt. and the bathroom smelled Horrible. I asked my friend who lived there before me and he said it was like that when he moved in and just keeps the door closed so the smell doesn't travel. I tried air fresheners and they didn't help at all. Then I figured it must be a moisture/mildew situation. I got these and hung one on my towel rack and a week later the smell was gone! I'm on the second one now. I'm amazed at the results and will continue buying these for the bathroom. Then lavender smell is pretty strong at first, but after a week or two, it becomes subtle. Edit: I recently bought the "Fresh Scent" as it was at Target when I was shopping and a couple bucks cheaper. The fresh scent smells like a public restroom :(. I will not buy that scent again. But I like the lavender vanilla! ... show more

  • Wow! Does The Job
Style Name: Lavender
I put one of these in an outdoor balcony closet and in 3 weeks it was almost full of water. I added a second one since the crystals in the first were almost gone. In one day, the second one collected quite a bit of water. When I first put the DampRid in the closet, within one day the closet's humidity level was way down. I could feel the difference when I opened the closet door and walked into the closet. I now feel comfortable putting things in that closet that would have absorbed water and thus been less usable. The smell in the closet from the DampRid is wonderful, and I am not a fan of lavender. I am very delighted with this product and this vendor for selling the product for at the lowest price compared to other vendors on Amazon. ... show more

  • Wet Towels in a hamper - This gets rid of musty smells
Style Name: Lavender
We use cloth to clean most everything in our home - dishes, countertops, etc. Have been putting them in a hamper inside a closet - what a musty odor it was. Hang these in the closet and that musty smell truly gets absorbed - Thrilled with the scent which is mild and very pleasant. So much better than smelling wet rags with assorted cleaning products. ... show more
