I actually prefer the lavender-vanilla scent, if I have to choose between that or the 'Fresh Scent'. The 'Fresh' one is so artificial and awful I had to air the house out after trying it. I wish Amazon or local stores would regularly stock the UNscented bag--which DampRid certainly produces--at a reasonable price. I hang a lavender-vanilla bagin a rarely-used room until the smell subsides a bit (2 or 3 days), then move them a desired areas (closet, laundry room, etc.) The bags collect moisture far faster than the traditional damp rid canisters (the kind with little flakes of absorbent in them, and which can be refilled). However, the bags can cost 2 to 3 times other versions of DampRid. One bag rarely lasts more than 8 to 10 weeks (and fills much quicker in the humid summer months). Would I buy again? Yes... although you have to be careful of the ever-changing prices here (sometimes costing 2-4x the same item in a local store), and be sure to order only shipped AND sold by Amazon, not some 3rd party scammer. I do appreciate Amazon stocking these products, even though the scent selection and prices vary wildly from week to week. ... show more

This pic is after only TWO DAYS of hanging it to test them out! In the summer, my bedroom & bathroom get VERY damp from being so hot outside & using a window air conditioner unit along with the normal hot/cold temperature change. I NOW SWEAR BY THESE!! The difference they have made is FANTASTIC((*Kisses fingers*))!! I never knew about these until I just happened to read up on them & asking a customer buying them & she bought a LOT. She said she stores them in her bathroom, bedrooms & garage EVERY summer for the same reason I was needing them & to definitely buy them. I will now continue to EVERY year & tell others about them bc they truly work! It's been about 5 days already & one of them that is closest to my AC unit is almost FULL!! Now I know I'm not fully crazy when I say it feels damp in my room. I hope this helps someone else bc i promise it is SO worth the buy!!!!! ... show more

Fantastic product to keep an area dry and free of mold and damp odor. Easy to use. I mostly get the hanging ones for basement and some closets lbut have used the container / depends on the area. Love the lavender and vanilla. That are somewhat expensive but not needed as much in cold weather. In very humid time of the year one lasts about a month. They are worth the price.
