Not sure what stroopwaffels are supposed to taste like or what consistency they should have. This is the first time I tasted them. The chocolate were good but the others were horribly sweet. Very gummy, chewy consistency .

I couldn't find these in the store, so I tried Amazon and couldn't believe I could buy them there. My son loves these . . . . he places the Stroopwafel on top of his hot coffee and warms it up. He said they're delicious!

Stroopeafels are a Danish treat that I have become addicted to. Crisp waffle like cookies with a bit of caramel filling between two layers. They’re great just out of the pack. But they’re made to lay over your steamy cup of morning coffee for a couple of minutes to soften them and the creamy caramel center. I buy the individually wrapped Original, and it allows me to enjoy them over time. I like having one with a strong cup of coffee or tea. Really nice "warmed up" by placing packet on coffee mug, but also great at room temp. Nice chew, perfectly sweet. Nice treat. Good brand that I will buy from again. This last purchase was also for use in treat gifts. Another reason why I like the individually wrapped option.
