Installed on covered porch. Mounted on the back of 55 inch tv with wall mount. Hidden from view but is easy to access for adjustments. Using the tv with Roku, audio output from tv to input of this unit. Had a powered sub sitting around so I disguised it with a wicker ottoman. Wife can't see any components so no gripes from her. Watch Youtube videos and spotify with premium sound. Two Bose outdoor speakers and a Tannoy subwoofer have an impressive rich sound that really does impress. I'm not a fan of Bose but scored them at a yard sale and they look nice in the corners of the ceiling. Couldn't be happier with the amp and highly recommend it. ... show more

    • Almost perfect.
The amp itself is pretty good, sounds awesome and has a decent amount of power. The only con it has is that it lacks a speaker protection circuit, so there’s a loud POP when you turn it on and off which will eventually ruin your speakers. You can find ways to do that yourself (what I did) but it should be included ib the design. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This review is for the Daakro Stereo Audio Receiver Amplifier,600W Bluetooth 5.0 Mini Hi-Fi Audio Amp,2.1 Channel Amplifier Receiver with Bass and Treble Control for Home Outdoor Speakers/Subwoofer (with Power Supply). Before getting this I was using a Douk Audio Bluetooth 5.0 Power Amplifier 2 Channel Stereo Mini Hi-Fi Integrated Amp 2.0 Wireless Audio Receiver. The Douk was a fine little amp and drove my Martin Logan Motion 2s nicely but I wanted to upgrade to a mini amp that has 2.1 channels so I can drive a passive bass speaker as well to give the sound in my work-from-home desktop setup more body. That and also the top mounted volume control on the Douk stopped working properly forcing me to adjust the volume from the source device - I am using my phone to send BT data to the amp and connected my HP monitor via its headphones jack to the RCA ins of the mini amp. And also the Douk power port/supply gives a scary spark every time I plug/unplug them. Other than the ~$20 DIY style amp board based on the TPA3116D2 mini amp, this Daakro was the only other 2.1 amp I initially found that I liked the form factor of as well as the specs detailed in the Amazon listing. After some further research I eventually placed this in my Amazon cart but did not pull the trigger on it due to it having no reviews and an unrecognizable name. A few days passed and some more research led me to the AIYIMA A03 2.1 Channel Class D Amplifier 50W+50W+100W TPA3116 Subwoofer Bluetooth Amp HiFi Power Amplifier with Power Adapter. I bought the Aiyima instead because it is a popular name amongst mini amps and also because of some good internet reviews. Unfortunately, the Aiyima could not drive my DIY sub I built in a low profile acoustic suspension box for my now someone else's truck. The bass sound was weak and was cutting in and out. I tried another passive sub and a couple different cables to no avail. The Aiyima stayed in my setup for a day and went back to Amazon the day after. Having no other option, I ended up taking a chance on the Daakro. Now I am so glad I did! What I liked: - Amazon two day delivery - $15 off - the amp worked right out of the box - it has a DAC inside accessible via an optical port, I have not tried using this so far - the BT works well and paired with my phone pretty easy, it maintained a good stable connection when I moved the phone into the farthest part of the second floor of the house where my "office" is - everything else worked well What I really liked: - the sound ! - it drives my bass speaker with authority and gave my setup that palpable sonic impact I was wanting - detail - the instruments are well separated, the tapping sound on the left side on Beatles' blackbird is clear and crisp as was the chirping of the birds - image - the tapping sound on that song is farther left and lower than the chirping of the bird, placement of instruments and singers on the soundstage is pretty stable, the near field setup helps a lot on this as well - me thinks - well, I was hungry and my tummy was asking me to eat but my ears and brain wanted me to stay and continue listening, the ears and brain won - overall I like the sound this little amp creates What some may not like but I did not mind: - pots are not smooth - finish is not top notch - you cycle thru the BT, Aux and Optical by pressing a button AT THE BACK :-( - a voice prompt tells you what was selected instead of LEDs in front - I could not make the remote work (who cares, I'm sitting right in front of the thing) I found a Gem ! 11/12/23 update; I have not noticed it initially but now experiences the same bass issue I described with the Aiyima amp when cranking up the volume on the Daakro past about 10 o'clock. This Daakro still drives the 10" 4-ohm sub better than the Aiyima did at lower volume levels. At this levels the sound is very satisfyingly good. I do not know what is causing this but I suspect that the amp is running out of power to drive the sub properly at higher volume levels. I will try a better power supply and see if that will make a difference, otherwise I might need to return this and continue searching for a better one. I will keep the five stars rating for now as I troubleshoot this and hope for the best as I really like the sound of this Daakro. Update 12/25/2023 I could not resolve the bass issue with this amp in my setup. Ended up returning this amp for a Kinter. The Kinter is half the price, sounds as good and did not have the bass issue cutting in and out. I liked the Kinter enough I ended getting more of it ;-). They will power my modestly powered Atmos system. Down to 3 stars for the Daakro - it was delivered quickly, returned without issues, sounded good at low volumes but had issues when cranked up in my system. ... show more

If I turn this amp up just before half way there is a buzz and silence. All my speakers work fine when the volume is around quarter way. I would love to return and get my money back. What a piece of Garb.. the remote is properly useless.

    • Saved my Audyssey Media speakers
I have a pair audyssey media speakers that I bought 10 yrs ago, the speaker with the power switch burnt out, so I gutted it and made it passive, this device now powers both of them with great sound using the optical audio port. No complaints. Great deal.

    • Got a similar one similar price, so I thought I'd try this one and that was a mistake
Pretty terrible quality is not that great didn't even get a chance to use the remote before it crapped out on me it only comes the 12 volt power supply. I bought the noorus audio pae985 or somethings like that with a 36 volt 6 amp power supply and the unit for it was like 35$. This item looked the same size all that didn't specify the power supply like the other one but I thought I'd take a chance cuz it had the sub adjustment and the other one just says bass treble and volume. But this was not a good purchase I in my opinion it wasn't great I mean it's perfectly fine the sound quality is not terrible if you're just wanting something for the garage for the size and price it's it's fine and the other unit I bought the prices already gone up so it's partially my fault that it crapped out I wasn't very happy with the 12 volt power supply if you catch my drift ... show more

The last amplifier I bought was large and expensive. When I bought this, I wasn't expecting much. But wow, it works great. I have it on a soffit with speakers, and an RCA line-level transceiver setup sending a signal to the remote amplifier from my sound system. Works great. The remote doesn't seem to work so well, and I find myself ignoring that all the time. For my application, I don't need the remote. ... show more

I bought this based mostly off petey’s review which is spot on. For the price, this is a steal. I couldn’t find any other mini amp in this price range that offers this much power or better connectivity. Im using it to power a pair Sony SS-CS5 bookshelf speakers and a small 6” passive subwoofer. The amp will mostly be used with an echo dot. Sounds fantastic to me. The remote is basically useless, I could only get it to turn the amp on and off. The input button on the back and the voice announcement for the selected input are annoying but won’t matter much for my application.
