The Model 101 violin is a beautiful carved top instrument made from select high-grade traditional spruce, figured maple, and ebony tonewood. It features a beautiful spirit varnish finish with accented edges and traditional fittings. Produces a dependably clear and brilliant tone with a lustrous sound.

I ordered this violin directly off their site as it had a sale. It arrived in reasonable time, but the violin did not include the accessories mentioned either here or on their site. The case is a lower quality triangular one. The finish on the violin seems to be a thicker lacquer like on the cheapest violins and I believe this may be part of the cause of the poor quality sound. There was pretty much no flame on the violin. The violin says it is a Lesong Concerto, and when I spoke to their sales guy he said that was the right one. So I guess the relabel another brand to call it DZ Strad but missed this one, with relabeling in the end that could call any violin a DZ Strad and have no consistency. The inlay on the trident on the bow appears to be Abalone, but I believe it is just metal. When I explained all this to them and I asked for a return label it was never sent, after I called and sent pictures. I filed a claim with Paypal and shortly before it was closed a label was sent. ... show more
