    • This was a bit lighter then my monitor showed
This is my second purchase of d-c-fix products. The product line is very easy to work with, and the finished project looks great. Like my first project, this was purchased to cover some damaged wood work. In this case it was trim that a previous owners puppy had chewed on. This meant that there were some very deep teething marks. This product covered that up no problem, you can't tell that this product has been placed over those areas. I left the product a little bit wider then the trim, I had no problem going back with a box cutter and cutting the excess evenly along the top of the trim. The product did not tear at all. While having to reposition and remove air bubbles I experienced no problem. Nothing that some patience and a can do attitude to achieve desired look. Love this low budget option to covering damages. My first project was to cover a hallway door that had been kicked in at the bottom. That went so well that I thought I would try this color on the trim. Very satisfied. In the end the color was even a better match to the other woodwork in the room than the original trim color. ... show more

    • Worked great despite some worries for wrinkles developing
I used this to resurface the inside of kitchen drawers. The color of the product received is as pictured here on Amazon and matched perfectly with my kitchen drawers. The film is very thin/floppy, and thus wrinkles easily during application. But fortunately, these wrinkles disappear once the film is adhered to & smoothed out over the surface. On the other hand, I accidentally created a couple creases, which did not entirely disappear afterward. Because the film didn't come in larger sizes, I had to use 2 separate pieces of films to cover up a wide drawer. I was worried that this would leave an unsightly edge/line through the middle of the drawer. But fortunately, due to the thinness of the film, the overlap line is barely noticeable. Another tip--really spend the time necessary to clear dust particles thoroughly from the surface (I used both vacuum & lint-free cloth); use tweezers to pick off particles if they get caught under the film during application. ... show more

Great quality, wood pattern doesn't repeat at all throughout the length of the roll (as far as I can tell.) It's a really good print, and my favorite part is it's a little textured/embossed with gives it even more of a real wood look. Came a little squished, but once it was stuck down you couldn't see any difference. Also smells very strongly of chemicals, but I'm guessing the adhesive is a strong chemical so that would make sense. ... show more

I feel bad about giving it just three stars, because it seems like a quality product, but this stuff is a *bear* to install. It's really a two-person job, one to unroll the product (a little at a time, like the instructions say) the other to flatten it (using a roller, again as the instructions say) to whatever you're putting it on. It will bubble, and while pricking the bubbles with a pin deflates them, that leaves you with wrinkles. The fact that I was putting it on foamboard instead of a harder, more durable surface like a cabinet, probably didn't help. The results look like hell up close, but fortunately it's in an out-of-the-way place and from ten feet away it's not bad. But really, to do this well you need to be the kind of person who enjoys doing meticulous, demanding craft work. And have a helper who fits the same description. And buy way *way* more than you think you'll need, so all your material is from the same dye lot, because there's a steep and unforgiving learning curve. ... show more

    • Best shelf paper ever - sturdy and easy to reposition but sticks where it needs to.
This is the best shelf paper I've ever used (although I haven't used a lot). It's easy to position, reposition, and push out the bubbles. It looks really nice, is very strong, stays in place when you're done with it, and doesn't rip at all. The pattern is nice and from a distance you really can't tell that it's shelf paper. I don't think I'd cover the exterior of a cabinet with it as some have done but for using on shelves and in the bottom of drawers it's fantastic. My only complaint is one edge has a 1-inch wide dark stripe so seams are really obvious if you end up using that edge. I was able to get around it so my seams are not visible but it was a bit of a pain to deal with. However, the quality overall is great and the results in the end are what counts! ... show more

    • Great for lining drawers
I’m using this to line the bottoms of a few kitchen cabinets and drawers. This is easy to install, durable, and easy to clean. I first installed this about a year ago and it’s still going strong with no issues.
