Bought a large. I’m 5’8 ish, around 147 lbs. I suffer from pantaloons disease, all pants end above my ankles. These actually land right in the middle of that bone that juts out on your ankle. Success. It’s comfortable, stretchy, and not tight on the rear. I would’ve liked it if there was a drawstring on the waist or an adjustable waist, because my waist is much smaller than my hips and it creates another obstacle when finding nice pants, also if I want to store something in the pockets, the pants just fall down. I suppose maybe a medium might solve that issue but bring forth the length issue. I do like that there is at least an elastic waist, though. Overall, pretty nice. I’ll be wearing this to my next hike to see whether they make me sweat and if they’re durable enough (ripping, water resistance). ... show more

Cycorld women’s hiking pants convertible- I’m 5’8”, ~120 lbs, usually a size 4 (My measurements from 2 years ago: Waist: 65cm, Hips 92cm). I ordered these in Army green color in a Small size and light grey in a Medium size. (Amazon recommended medium for me). I like the army green color better than the grey. The small may be more flattering in the legs than the medium, but the small is a little snug around my waist. If I wear the small at my waist, the crotch rides a bit. If I wear them at my hips, they are a tad too tight. They aren’t uncomfortable, but they are noticeable. It does have buttons so you can roll the pants up, but they are also convertible- you can zip off the bottoms to make them into shorts. This is a cool feature, but I’m not sure I will ever use it - unless I were wading across a stream. As pants, the zipper is irritating around my leg. It has adjustable ankle cuff with drawstring which is great to keep bugs from crawling up your pants. Another nice feature: All of the pockets fit my iPhone 13 plus. The thigh and back pocket are a bit tight, but you can zipper them shut with it. In the medium, my phone fits easily in all pockets. These are thin. When held up to light they are semitransparent. I got to wear hiking, I loved that you could wear in the winter with a base layer or in the summer as shorts. Very versatile. Material is good quality and all the zippers seemed good. They are a little long but the bottom cinches so that is not a problem. Can also be rolled up to quarter length. I am 5”1, 138lb and have a 42in hip measurement. I bought these pants for hiking the Camino de Santiago. They were perfect: comfortable, lightweight, and quick-drying. When I washed them out in the afternoon, they would be dry for the next morning! Being able to convert them from long pants to shorts was also very convenient; you can even do it while wearing them, although I had to take my shoes off in order to do so. There are also buttons and straps on the legs so that you can make them capri-length, but I didn't use that much. All the pockets are handy, too; the bigger pockets are large enough to hold a phone. I always have pants too loose in the waist and too tight in the butt. These are exactly the same. Size guide suggested a Large, I ordered XL. They still fight tight on my butt and loose on the waist. This was the 1st time I purchased apparel on Amazon, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. These pants exceeded my expectations. I bought a pair in black and was impressed enough to purchase another pair in army green. These pants are breathable, have the perfect amount of stretch in the fabric and in the right places, making them flattering for this type/style of pant. There are plenty of storage pockets and the conversion to shorts did prove useful. I wore them hiking in Yellowstone (early October) and they worked out great. They are lightweight, but blocked the wind and the zippers are well made. They packed easily and washed well (in cold & hang dry).
