Helped me use my mountain bike by raising the handlebars. Took the strain off my lower back. Not a youngster any more but still love to ride! Be cautious about raising maximum height as there is not really a notch or teeth. I tightened it down only to have it slip forward into the retaining notch or teeth. I bought a big tire 'mountain bike' for my wife. When putting it together I realized the bicycle was set up like a racer and she would have to ride with her head lowered like a racing bike. Not cool for riding on the beach, or in woods on a trail. This easy to install device raised the handlebars high enough to where she can comfortably cruise. The only adaptation I had to make was using a hydraulic hose split down the middle to fill the gap between the bar circumference and the device clamp.
