This was a fun project. My first one. I worked on it for a few hours at a time a couple times a week just under a month. I’m glad I read reviews and researched glue. The way to go is the Beacon 3-in-1. I would not recommend hot glue. One part was broken but easy to repair and hide. I was missing a plant and fabric but there was leftover materials to substitute. I wish I would have noticed the cut outs for the fabric for the couch before I measured and cut. My kit had the dust cover and music box, which the latter was a nice surprise. Although the translation of the instructions poor, I found it comical and was able to figure it out along the way. Making sure the original walls are plum is important, it threw off the second level a bit. I also wish there was a cut out for the wire in the bedroom so the floor would be flush with the wall. This is the first miniature house kit I ever put together. You need the glue and the tool kit Amazon suggests you buy this with! With a lot of patience and more precision than you think you need, this was incredibly challenging and satisfying to build! If you get stuck (the directions can be vague - the english translation used on the directions are laughably lacking) there are YouTube videos you can reference. ... show more

Not only are the individual pieces not labeled, but the instructions are in a zig zag pattern where you read left to right, then right to left, then left to right, so on and so forth. There are a few missing pieces too. Mainly B65. Instructions are in both chinese and english with images to guide you. Since the pieces aren't labeled individually, the model is a little bit more difficult to assemble than most. Either way, it’s still fun to put together. This took time and patience but it's done! Took me over a couple of days but I only did a couple of hours each day. I took the construction time to mediate and it's so centering and calming! Super cute and the rewarding feeling in the end is amazing!!! Please note- the lack of light in the study was my bad. Totally missed that instruction but it's still amazing! I loved building this house! This is the second house I have built by this company and I will continue to use them in the future. All materials are provided and the instructions are easy to follow. I also utilized a YouTube tutorial when I needed further instructions. This kit comes with good, sturdy material and it has good accuracy to replicate. I completed this kit by myself with ease, but it still presented with a good challenge. Building these kits bring me such joy and a sense of accomplishment. This one was a lot of fun! I love everything thing about the music dollhouse. But let tell you it's not a peace of cake you need super patience, the instructions are very hard to understand I wish they will divide the materials by room then it will be easy to follow the photo book. I wish they could tell you what is the best glue to use on fabrics on the plastic. I had to shop around for different kinds of glue to many to choose from it makes it hard to know which one will be the best. It took me week to built many hours on it to see the finish house. Im new on this type of scale it was a challenge when you have bad eyesite. But I love it and added my personal touch to my liking and colors I have in my home. And of course did my own pictures for the walls and bookshelf the rugs to the bed sheets pillows to. I did make a lot of changes. ... show more

    • Missing several parts and lights are too big
I started out missing 3 white cabinet doors. 2 for kitchen and 1 for island in kitchen. I also was missing several boards so I had to make my own. Two of the lights pulled apart. They are all too large for to fit the light fixtures and very easy to break when trying to assemble lighting. I enjoy these kinds of things and I never usually complain. I don't ever complain but this time I was very disappointed. It's a beautiful little house but I'm gonna have to get different lights and replace those huge bulbs. And plus I did not use the little photo of Che for the bookcase. Che? Really? ... show more
