Firstly - the packaging is nice and everything is stored nicely. Setup was very easy even with the small, limited directions. Looking at the box you can easily figure it out. The house itself is soft plastic and a good size for most small figurines to use. The doll is a strange addition. Other than the bed, she doesn't fit any of the furniture and she barely fits the house. My kid likes the doll anyway but she isn't very high quality. The furniture is of a lesser quality than the house but at least it looks like their tried to make the pieces look cute. The ladder and the slide are a bit of a pain. They fall off easily and the slides comes out quite far and takes up an unnecessary amount of space. I'd recommend not even including it unless your kid absolutely refuses to go without it. The lights are also very strange. They work well, and the stickers to keep them from falling from the ceiling insert are helpful - but the blinking rainbow rave-like style doesn't really go with a house? I'm nitpicking - my kid doesn't care. Overall, its a good value. Having two separate sides to play in allows for a lot of customization, even if you don't use the furniture or doll that comes with the house. Older children might get bored quickly. Many dollhouses come with heavy duty cardboard pieces, and that can make them flimsy. Only the center piece is cardboard in this kit; all the other pieces are plastic, so while this might seem a little smaller than some dollhouses, it's both easy to assemble and durable, making it a great value for the money. it comes with plenty of furniture and a doll and has rooms on the front and back side.     • A lower quality doll, house is cute, if careful!
I agree with other readers who suggested that this would be a fun toy to keep at the grandparents house.. I don’t think it would survive everyday play the way a calico critters, wooden doll house or barbie house would. It’s a hollow plastic structure that you piece together with thin plastic furniture. For older kids who are careful, it can be a lot of fun, but if you have younger children who play a little rougher? I’d pass. My biggest issue is the included doll. My daughter fell in LOVE with her. She has those big, amine eyes and delicate features.. but unfortunately she fell apart! My daughter tried to sit her in the chair (so she placed her in a seated position) and the legs fell off. I couldn’t replace them so my husband (a marine) suggested that she was an amputee, much to my daughter’s dismay and reluctance. She bought it and we assumed “crisis averted!” No! When she was moving her arm it too broke off! Because of how they are jointed they cannot be repaired. We tried.. glue.. it didn’t work. She cried.. so many tears over this little doll that I regretted ever opening the box. So I would suggest you take the doll out (it doesn’t fit the house anyways!) and just let your little one play without it.. save them the heartache of a toy that only lasts 30mins! ... show more

I must disagree with other reviewers--this dollhouse didn't fit together easily at all. In fact, some pieces were so loose they wouldn't even stay in place (the slide and ladder). Overall, it just feels incredibly cheap. However, there are lots of different furniture pieces included, and it does look cute. Just don't let a smaller child anywhere near it--I'd say 8yrs and up is appropriate. ... show more

My child is not a fan of pink so I painted the roof and the floors. I know it wasn't a great job, but my kid is just gonna ruin it anyways and loves the job i did. It is very thick plastic and it is very easy to put together. Everything just snaps into place. The slide and ladder both lift up so that the bottom floor on that side can be reached. The quality is decent, and the entire thing is pretty well constructed. The plastic isn't the highest quality, but I see it lasting for a good long while. This dollhouse is fabulous. Easy to assemble and perfect size for toddlers, the house comes with furniture and a doll. The best part is that it has four separate rooms but it's not too big so it doesn't take up a lot of room. Easy to move into different rooms too!
