I've always had a little back pain from sitting down for a long period time at work and home. I was once told by a friend that a knee pillow can help during sleep to ease of my pain from the hip and back. When I first purchased a new pillow, I selected a product from Amazon with many reviews with half the cost the Cushion Lab. I was very skeptical if a knee pillow would be beneficial to my pain, so I decided to save a few dollars. Mistake. It provided a bit of relief, but, simply, it couldn’t last the night. I would be easily crushed and couldn’t lift my leg up. It was more apparent over the months as it deteriorated. Then my wife bought the Cushion Lab for her pain as well without me knowing. I've told my wife that she wasted her money because a knee pillow wouldn't work and asked her to return. However, my wife wanted to give it a try. The next day, she said that she felt great! So I went through the Cushion Lab's reviews, and their talk about quality really struck a chord with me. Then I decided to give them a try even though they have fewer reviews. The difference was significant, as my pain has been greatly reduced and the pillow stayed supportive throughout the night. I woke up happy, and I was well rested. It is indeed well made like other reviews mentioned. The foam in the pillow is much denser, the pillow is slightly heavier, and it felt a more heavy duty. Therefore, I suspect it will last for a long time. Lesson learned: Don’t skimp out on quality. Just like one of the reviewers said... YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR... Please don't skimp out on products those especially related to your health... It's better to be safe than sorry! ... show more

    • Comfortable Support for my back!

I needed a small but stable pillow to place between my knees to help keep my spine aligned (to alleviate painful lower back pressure) for more comfortable sleeping. I had been using a regular sized sleeping pillow - folded in half - but it was too big and bulky and didn't stay in the right place to keep me comfortable all night long. This pillow is small, has just the right softness and firmness, is contoured well for my legs, and has been helpful since the first night that I used it! I am 5'11" tall, and weigh 183 lbs, and the pillow does not compress 'flat' under the weight of my legs. I don't know what the weight rating is for this pillow, so, I'm mentioning this so that the reader has some frame of reference as to whether it might be helpful to him/her. I also use this pillow as a neck and lower back support for certain stretches and exercises and have found it to be very beneficial for those purposes, as well. I don't know if this pillow would provide adequate support for me if I were 30-40 pounds heavier than I am now (because my weight may compress the pillow too much to benefit from using it), but, I am very pleased with the results that I'm getting, allowing me to comfortably sleep through the night! Without this pillow I would have to resort to sleep aids or have to deal with readjusting my other pillow throughout the night. I tend to move around a lot in my sleep so the pillow doesn't always stay between my legs. It's comfortable and does help somewhat with my back pain. I still wake up pretty achy and stiff though.

I'm a bigger woman. While this pillow is good quality & well made, it's too small and so firm as to be uncomfortable. I could not find a good position for it between my knees, or above them or below. The pillow overall is way too small (for me). The curved area made to cradle the knees or calves wasn't wide enough, and the upper edges of the curved areas were too firm and rigid. I've been sleeping with a firm, round bolster pillow (memory foam as well) that is softer, comfortable and can be positioned where I need it- between the knees, behind the knees (If I'm on my back) or just above or below the knees when on my side. If you're a heavy sleeper with back or hip pain, this pillow is for you! This pillow is made of very firm foam- I've tried using regular pillows to fit between my knees or thighs, but they just never offered the support I needed. Not so with this guy! I've been using this pillow for over two years now, and it is an absolute must for me to sleep now. With a herniated disc in my low back, I just can't get comfortable without it. I like that the case can be removed for cleaning too. Other bonus that I didn't anticipate when I purchased it- this pillow is also great if you have an injury or condition that requires you to elevate your foot or arm. Simply place a pillow below the wedge so it's at the desired height, and the u-shape of the wedge really helps to hold your ankle or arm in place. ... show more

Since my late pregnancy stage, I have suffered sciatica pains… I had initially thought that it would alleviate after I deliver the baby, but things get worse after my son was born… Like all moms do, I have to pick my baby up from time to time and carry him around. And it is really a burden for my back… Don’t get me wrong: I love my son, but it is a serious pain in the back and hip… My friend told me to try all different kinds of pillows to support my body when sleeping. So far I’ve tried U-Shape, C-Shape, flip pillows, and so many more… I mean they all help a little bit, but this knee pillow works like magic. Just slept with it after one night, my back feels so comfortable this morning when I get off my bed. I think it is firmer—just a little bit, not too much, than many other supportive pillows that I’ve used before. LOL, I know I sound a little wired like pretending to be a pillow expert: but you will understand if you have been so desperately trying to find something to kill the pain—not through a painkiller. Also, with its shape, I think it might be useful for pregnant women who had feet swollen problem as I did. It is just the right size to put on my feet and lift them up.
