  • Idk what the fuss is about. Great mixer.
Color: Silver Lining
I saw a lot of mixed reviews. When I purchased this I was pretty nervous but did not want to pay 3x this price for its competitor. I feel comfortable writing this review since it’s been at least a month of making bagels and bread loaves. This mixer is fantastic. I saw a handful of reviews giving a thumbs down because it “doesn’t rub the edge or get all of the ingredients”. You don’t want it to. That wears out the motor and damages the bowl over time. I’ve made 15 batches of bagels and 10 loaves of bread and have yet had to stop the machine to help mix the ingredients. Dough is also very hard on mixing motors and this one has no issues. It’s large. This is a full size mixer for those wondering. I saw reviews from people who said that the materials are cheap and the pivot snapped. Incorrect usage. This thing is made of metal. This isn’t a cheap plastic mixer. If you rock the head back and let it slam open and shut(due to its own weight) I can see how some have snapped this. With that said it’s not fragile, either. I’m sure it’s just from people carelessly flinging it open and letting it drop shut. The mixing attachments are coated so they are easily to clean and the bowl is large enough for full and double batches. Don’t let the negative reviews scare you. I was skeptical but this has been one of the better mixers I’ve purchased in years. ... show more

  • Broke After 2 Weeks/Cuisinart CS is awful
Color: White Linen
For the first two weeks I had this machine I loved it. I am extremely familiar with stand mixers having owned several brands over many years I never stray from the manufacturer recommended settings. I take care of my mixers and am careful to protect the gears. While mixing one day the motor started whining and the head became stiff to close so I called Cuisinart who sent a shipping label for repair. They said in 4-6 weeks I would receive my mixer back working or another totally refurbished like new unit. I was fine with a refurbished unit so long as it worked. After 4 weeks UPS dropped a package off. I did not get a call or email saying something had been shipped. Fortunately I was home so it wasn't stolen. Had I not been home and the package was taken I would never have known and continued waiting for weeks with no help or update from Cuisinart. The item sent to me after 4 weeks of waiting was so seriously damaged it couldn't even hold speed on a 1 and was making a very loud grinding noise with bouncing in the head at higher speeds. I called Cuisinart again and am told to repeat this process of mailing in the unit and waiting 4-6 weeks. However, the agent warned me they could not guarantee the next one would be any better and under no circumstances will they send a new one. The agent said they were sorry but they don't have contact with the warehouse and they must assume the refurbished unit sent would have been working fine. They cannot explain why it's not and cannot say the next unit will operate differently. Cuisinart is owned by Conair and they have a strict company policy against sending out new stand mixers. Unlike some of their other products, the stand mixers are not allowed to be replaced with new ones under warranty. Several Cuisinart agents repeated this to me and made it clear that even if I had multiple broken mixers shipped it would not matter, they would not send a new one to guarantee I could get a working mixer. I was also told that that every 4-6 week period is deducted from the warranty. So a second send in would mean 8-12 weeks (depending on shipment time) they had the mixer but it still counts against my coverage. Assuming of course that other replacement worked. Otherwise it's another 4-6 weeks, rinse + repeat. The only other option I was given was a line of credit at Cuisinart for the amount I paid with Amazon to purchase one over the phone at Cuisinart for full price. Meaning, I would have to pay the price difference plus any applicable taxes and the shortened warranty period would still apply. Cuisinart charges $199 currently. I paid $155.xx here on Amazon. Cuisinart even confirmed this in a three way call with an Amazon CS agent. They would not budge on price or send a new mixer under warranty -even for Amazon. I purchased the Asurion protection with this item. Asurion said they could not step in until the entire Cuisinart manufacturer warranty had expired even if they weren't cooperating. The protection plan is 2 years, Cuisinart warranty is 3 years. I did not know Asurion had this policy before buying it. During this entire period I called Cuisinart many times. Multiple times I had one of their agents laugh at me over the phone when I wanted an update during the 4 week period or after when I called about the broken replacement. Once I was hung up on. Three times the agents were more interested in playing around with each other in the background than paying attention to their job. Each phone call I waited on hold for at least 45 minutes and multiple times was told to email their customer service because they could not help me over the phone followed by the agent hanging up. Emailing Cuisinart was actually worse. It took over a week for a response that was so badly written and had only repeated information I sent that I am positive it was some kind of bot. Cuisinart does not assign you a case number and each representative said they could not look up my history to help me. Every phone call I had to repeat exactly what was going on in detail as I did the first time. Eventually I reached out to Amazon Customer Service in desperation. To my complete surprise they were able to resolve the issue within a day. It's going to be returned through them minus restock fee which is more than fair. Cuisinart actually had this mixer for so long my normal return period had ended. Amazon was very kind to back me up after speaking with Cuisinart and confirming everything. They also assisted me in going through the steps to get my Asurion protection refunded. I'm not sure if they did this because I bought it through them or because I used my Amazon credit card but either way I am so very grateful. ***THANK YOU AMAZON CUSTOMER SERVICE**** You were absolutely wonderful! You went above the call of duty to help. Thank you so much! Also, if anyone got to the bottom of this long review and is still looking for a mixer- Try Bosch. Yes, it's more money but my goodness what a wonderful mixer. Worth every penny and their customer service is top notch. It's also made in Europe with all other acessories made here in the U.S. ... show more

  • I was amazed at how awesome this mixer is
Color: White Linen
WOW! I was amazed at how awesome this mixer is. I had been looking online for some time before I finally decided on this one. I compared this one to some of those really expensive ones (400.00- 600.00). Let me tell you, this mixer is as good , if not better than those over priced one. It's heavy duty. Will tackle even the toughest mixing conditions. I love it! I've made bread, cookies, cakes and whipped up all kinds of goodies. It works great. Would definitely recommend this mixer. ... show more

  • Love it
Color: Ruby Red
Omg I love this love love it to the core I’ve been wanting to get the kitchen aid stand mixer for the longest time but I was always struggling with the cost. And I never had my own kitchen. When I got my own kitchen I told myself I would treat myself so I started looking and thinking to wait for the Black Friday or any other sale or deal . In this I would always see the cuisinart mixer to. I would always think that it looks better then the kitchen aid. I also had experience with cuisinart before , I have a cuisinart food processor quite old but still working perfect and a hand blender/mixer . And both work perfect. When I saw the deal on the cuisinart I convinced myself that this would be just as good and it would last . So I bought it and I love it :) it works the same as the kitchen aid my sil has it. It is actually better because the kitchen aid doesn’t get the sides but my cuisinart does :) plus ice. Been told all kitchen Aid attachments work here to. Plus cuisinart has there own amazing attachments. I’ve used it to make dough 2 times and I marinated burgers in it once. Which made all my spices mix in the meat really good and made my meat softer to form shapes :) 😍I have quite the cuisinart collection will add more when times get better :) ... show more
