Yes, you can get cheaper plastic measuring cups at the grocery store, but if you want accurate measurements, heat resistance, and something that will last, these are the kind of measuring cups you want. Plastic cups flex a little bit and are harder to get an exact measurement of ingredients. I love these, and have had this kind of measuring cup set all my adult life. I like quality. ... show more

The cups are nice. The edges are just barely polished. The handles are thin and feel flimsy (even for being made of metal). The handles don't feel right if you have average male sized hands. While the material of the cups make them relatively heavy, the 1/4 C and even the 1/3 C are prone to tipping backwards if the handles are tapped. These are sturdy metal cups, great quality and easy to use. I've had no problems and I could see these being passed to future generations if properly cared for over time. Simple and effective. I have been using plastic, but I missed the feel of the Oneida stainless I had for years. I thought the Cusinart name would mean that these were of the same quality. They are OK, but the stainless is not as substantial as those I had earlier.
