  • A little too tight for 2013 Honda Civic LX - There is another size though
On CTA's website it's noted that there are 2 versions of this either 56mm or 55mm. While this version of the 56mm does fit in the master cylinder it is an extremely tight fit where it seems you may accidently damage the plastic master cylinder from trying to force it in and turn. With the amount of force to get it to fit, you probably wouldn't even need to lock it. If I had nothing else, i'm sure i can get this to work but wouldn't be an exact fit. I believe the 55mm version would be better for the 2013 Honda Civic LX, unfortunately that model cap isn't available on Amazon. ... show more

  • Great
Works very well with Honda Pilot 2022 - it fits very snug. Used it with Motive bleeder.

  • Worked on a 2011 CRV, 2021 RDX and 2005 Odyssey
Did a brake bleed on all three of my Hondas, a 2011 CRV, 2021 RDX and 2005 Odyssey and it fit perfectly. Did the "mod" for it to attach to a motive power bleeder. I find 10 psi plenty to bleed the brakes. No need to crank it up. It is indeed a tight fit, but a dab of brake fluid around the o-ring helps press on easier. Feels super high quality. ... show more

  • Keeps letting air into the system.
Very annoying adapter to deal with on top of being cheap plastic. I used my motiv pressure bleeder that works fine with BMWs with the motiv cap but when I install this cap on Hondas, it leaks air into the system rendering the pressure bleeder useless. I installed teflon tape, on the fitting threads to help seal and it still leaks. I need this tool on a daily basis for work and has been nothing but a hassle and waste of money. Already too late to return. The cap fits super tight and is annoying to install and remove, the whole fluid reservoir bends when trying to install or remove regardless of the seals being lubed with brake fluid. ... show more

  • Fits variety of Hondas and seals well
The QD fitting on this adapter cap larger than necessary and a poor design choice. I took off one star because I had to fabricate an adapter using a 2” stainless steel nipple and 1/2” ID vinyl tubing (see photo). The nipple threads into the Motive fitting and the tubing is clamped on the nipple and the adapter cap QD fitting. This is not an ideal or elegant solution, but it works. I would have preferred a barb fitting rather than the nipple, but I could not find a suitable one. None of this should be necessary - the adapter cap should ship with a short section of tubing and a Motive-compatible 3/8” male threaded fitting pre-installed. Some people complain that the adapter cap fit is too tight and they had to use channel-lock pliers to twist the cap to lock the tabs. That is not the case. The adapter cap fit has to be tight in order to maintain a seal under pressure. Remember to remove the filter screen from the master cylinder before installing the adapter cap. Lube the adapter cap o-rings with some fresh brake fluid prior to installing the adapter cap and it will seat fairly easily. I wrapped my hands around the master cylinder with my fingers on the bottom and my thumbs on the adapter cap for a final squeeze to ensure that the cap was fully seated. Then a fairly easy clockwise twist with one hand locked the tabs. Pliers are NOT necessary and are NOT advisable - you do not want to damage your plastic master cylinder. I found that 12 psi was sufficient for flushing the fluid at a reasonable rate and the cap did not leak at that pressure, so I did not go higher. Removing the adapter cap is definitively a bit more difficult than installing it. The first step is to release the pressure from the Motive bottle. You should then be able to fairly easily twist the adapter cap counterclockwise to unlock the adapter cap from the master cylinder tabs. Then twist the cap back and forth while pulling upwards, using your other hand to support the master cylinder against the pull. I might try adding a bit of air pressure next time to assist in this process. This adapter cap works with all of my Honda vehicles - 2005 Odyssey, 2006 CR-V, 2009 Fit, and 2016 Civic. I just wish that Honda used the same threaded master cylinder design as Volvo. ... show more

  • Works good for Honda applications
Purchased this to use on a 2010 Accord (it fits) and also a 2016 ILX (haven't tested yet but probably fits). CTA uses a specific quick connect fitting for this, instead of buying that $15 adapter I simply bought color connex multi piece type C quick connect kit, 1/2" pcv tubing, a male 1/4" NPT to 1/2" barb and pieced it together so this can connect to my motive bleeder with quick connects. I needed the color connex kit anyways for another bleeder hose so it made sense to do it this way. ... show more

  • A little tight fit. - Updated-
It was very tight for a Honda civic 98 LX MC. I managed to fit it in there, but it should be at least 54mm or 55mm the most. The fitting is not compatible with the brake bleeder kit connector so I had to jimmy rig it. It seems these guys are not talking to other vendors to make compatible products. UPDATE: it turns out the cap goes fit well into the MC, it seems maybe the MC I was using is aftermarket? But it fit the one attached to the car. The nozzle issue does remain, it needs to be compatible with brake pneumatic bleeding kits.2nd update: this pressure cap pops open even under 12 psi. It caused a spill of break fluid down my cylinder head. I ended up not using it after it popped 3 times. I think is garbage , but if others had good results. I didn’t. I am an above average/seasoned mechanic. FYI. I don’t recommend it. ... show more

  • Follow their recommendation to measure your reservoir
Product works and sealed great. It is a very tight fit in the neck of the reservoir. They do sell two very close sizes for Hondas, and take the time to measure your car’s to get the right fit.
