I used zero pressure (as much as that's possible), instead of pushing this tool down on my skin, I just pushed it around in circular motion and let it glide by itself. It went fast as I got a hold of the technique. I had no skin irritation on my legs, removed all hair and my skin was soft and gently exfoliated as a result. I waited 3 days to verify no rash or discomfort was present, before deciding on this statement. FYI, I did showered before, but I didn't follow recommendation to apply moisturizer after, as in my experience lotions could cause skin irritation and rash especially after shaving. I'm convinced if I used this shaver even a bit more heavy handed I would burn my skin off. Great tool that requires some common sense and acquired skill while using it. Cleaned easily, no mess. I got this version because it is 3rd generation nanoglass and tool has a palm fitting shape with a peak. Pink color is a beautiful terracotta muave to me. While this Crystal hair remover is better than the previous one I used it is not meant for coarse hair. Save your money and stick with either professional hair removal (waxing) or good old fashioned conditioner (yes conditioner it works much better than shaving cream!) and razors.

It seems to only work on longer hair on more bony parts- works well on the shin and knee but not on the back of calf or thigh. But the reason I stopped using it is the crazy itching I get the next day on any area I use it. No rash or anything just intense itching. Might not be a problem for people with less sensitive skin ... show more

    • Don't Use A Heavy Hand Or Creates Irritated Skin

I was a bit skeptical about this product at first as it is basically just rubbing “nano glass” against your skin and the hair is removed. But it did actually do the job and I was surprised it was very effective. There are some things to be aware of though and that is not to rub too hard. Otherwise, you’ll end up with some irritated skin. When I first used it, I had a heavy hand and didn’t even notice how badly I was scraping my skin. But I used it again on another part of my body using a lot less force and it worked properly. It’s not a hair remover that would be my first choice (I’d still prefer my shaver) but it’s great for travel – especially camping when there is no access to electricity. And the clean-up is super easy by just running it under water. For people with hand issues (such as myself), you may not find it comfortable to use as it is not ergonomic and using the same repetitive circular motion may irritate sensitive hands. It’s another reason it won’t be my first go-to product for hair removal. ... show more
