I have over a dozen Crazy Aaron's putties, and this hidden gnome one is definitely one of my favorites. It is so visually appealing and just packed with cool mushrooms and glitter. The texture of all the clay pieces inside while playing with it is just fantastic as well. And like most other Aaron's putties, the pieces inside (including the glitter) stay in the putty; you don't even get any glitter stuck to your hands while playing with it. Also, strangely, mine came smelling exactly like sugar cookies. This isn't marketed as a scented putty, and I noticed some other people have said it stinks, but to me it smells just like sugar cookies. For reference, none of my other Aaron's putties have any smell, aside from maybe a very faint glue-like scent on a couple of them. I also need to point out that nearly every single negative review is plain wrong, as they all stem from the putty partially leaking or usually from it being a little separated or seemingly "dried out." The fact is that this stuff doesn't dry out. Yes, since it is putty, it will move around in the canister during shipping, toward wherever down is oriented. This means it might separate a little or get pieces stuck between the lid and jar or even leak out a little. That's literally just the nature of any putty or slime or goop, etc. Every single jar I've gotten, whether from Amazon or somewhere else, has moved and stuck to various parts of the jar by the time I open it. Literally, all you have to do is grab the main clump of putty and use it to pull the other bits off of the lid and canistet or even the inside of the package if it leaked. It takes less than a minute, it's unavoidable, it's well worth the miniscule amount of trouble, and the putty is still in perfect condition. The putty is a good consistency and my kids play with it for hours. It’s also unscented which is a huge plus. The package shows you the hidden gnomes which are among the other tiny gnomes and little pieces so you can search for them. Really creative idea.

We learned about this putty from a friend. The small containers are really stretchy and our child loves them. I opted to get this bigger version and although it is great and full of fun gnomes and mushrooms the putty itself is not as stretchy as the smaller batches. We really love this brand and still recommend just know if you are comparing to the small containers the texture is a bit different. ... show more

So yeah this looks cool but the putty is very stiff & hard to squish around & the pieces of the mushrooms 🍄 and gnomes are hard & thin like confetti They do break & become sharpe

We bought two crazy Aaron's putty from two different vendors. The other one we got was normal sized. This one, the gnome home gives you a much smaller amount. Super disappointing.
