I have learned playing violin for a few years in grade school, I actually like it very much. Since then, education , work and family occupied all my time. At my age I am preparing hobbies for retirement years, I found this violin with good review so I want to give it a try. After receiving the unit today, I found the quality of this violin is amazing, the value is superb. The sound quality compared to my grade school one is much better, also the accessory come with the unit included even a digital tuner. I gave this 3 stars only because this is a Christmas gift. I just opened it to check it out so I can't really comment too much yet. It looks great for a beginner violin. Will try to update later when we've actually put it together and played it.

I'll be following up with more info in the coming week or two, because maybe I'm overreacting. But my first reaction is to note that I will NOT be spending the first few hours upon receiving this learning to PLAY the violin, instead I'll be learning to REPAIR a violin.     • Great for beginners with passion
The media could not be loaded. I have played for 20 years so Im a bit picky. When my 3yr old begged to play and then begged for 2 more years I decided to give this violin a shot for her to begin lessons as a bday gift. Decent price, it's NOT a toy, and looks like mine. I was expecting it to sound a bit off but I was pleasantly surprised with the beautiful sound and the quality. They even emailed extra downloadable instructions and tips. She had wanted a sparkly violin but nothing was her size. We got vinyl removable stickers safe for her violin and she is absolutely in love. For younger ones I recommend a bow right guard and bow hold buddy. The bow is alright (make sure to rosin it really well) but I may purchase a separate one, just because I like sparkly carbon bows. Late beginner to playing any instrument. Empty nester who is learning new things. This violin is beautiful, it comes with everything a beginner needs. I spent a few hours setting it up and tuning it, remind you I’ve never played an instrument ever. This seller gave me everything I needed to get started.
