  • How to Install - Read Below
In case you want more info about what this part does and why it is a must for adult sized riders, my first pic shows where exactly it fits, and the others show it’s purpose. The skid plate should be over the bracket, not under it as I have in pic, this is only to highlight how the bracket secures. First notice that the foot pegs and stand are entirely held by just four bolts on one plane, this is a weak point, especially if you’re inclined to stand during a jump. This bracket will add a thick steel plate bent along 4 different planes and add 2 thick bolts for support of foot legs and frame. To install, you’ll need someone to hold the bike upright or have a wheel vise of some kind to remove weight from kick stand. Don’t recommend a jack as it will be largely in your way. Next you’ll remove the four bolts (2 already removed in my pic) holding the kick and the skid plate with sz 12mm socket and move skid plate down and out of the way. Hold new bracket up to position and begin threading the 4 new bottom bolts with a sz 13mm socket (bolt size is same but head is 1mm bigger) starting with back two, and then pull skid plate back up and insert the forward two bolts. Leaving the 2 forward bolts a tad loose and the 2 rear bolts 1/2in or 1 cm unthreaded, you’ll now need either a 13/16ths open wrench or a flat socket. Alternatively you can have your bike holder sit on bike to push the tire up, giving more socket clearance while you hate-mail manufacturer for using both Metric and SAS bolts. Tighten these 2 new bolts with your 13/16 all the way until washers are flat. Finally tighten down all four of your bottom bolts and you are done. In my last pic you can see the clearance difference is nothing at all installed. At worst about 2-3mm kinda angled, but if you needed that extra clearance then congrats on your purchase, this plate is about to do what it was designed for, correcting for your life choices. Lastly, the finish on this bracket is great for painting over if you want to add some jazz, but remember to stick with heat and oil resistant paints. Enjoy! ... show more

  • Luck of the draw
I read comments good and bad, figured I’d give it a try. First one, the welded nut wasn’t aligned properly, so returning it and another will be here Friday. If that one doesn’t fit I’ll probably just wait til the good ones are available
