This table looks good once it's fully assembled. The assembly instruction is good although larger pictures would tremendously help in getting it done correctly the first time. In one of the steps, I put the part in a reverse order and found out several steps later which made me undo and reverted back causing 15-20 mins of lost time. The table is pretty sturdy and stable. Nothing broken; nothing scratched; fairly sturdy. Very happy with outcome but a few things to remember: 1. Do not use power drill or power screwdriver. It may over tighten and crack the material. Hand tightening is pretty easy. 2. Take your time. It took me 3 hours to put this together. I’m not particularly handy but actual assembly wasn’t that bad. The instructions could be better but if you are careful to observe the orientation of the larger pieces, you won’t have to back up and unassemble a step like I did twice. Look at the small holes on the side of the piece in the instructions to get the proper orientation. 3. Don’t let the cams confuse you. Play with them a little to see how they work before putting them in. 4. I put this together by myself. You can too. Just find a way to assemble with the sides on the floor. Prop them up as necessary so that you aren’t fighting gravity. MOST OF ALL: Take your time! Look and play with the parts and material assemblies orientation before committing to the orientation. And don’t be surprised to unassemble once or twice. It’s not too hard. Oh, and don’t get put off by all the one star ratings….but read a few to see what other people found troublesome. You will find most of their issues are with the instructions and cracking the leg and shelf material (probably from using power equipment). ... show more

Nice looking piece that I bought to store family games for my daughter's bonus room. Sturdy. I put together by myself (I am a young 71 yr old woman). I will say when I got to Step 5, it became confusing with 3 steps on one page. I remember creating Assembly instructions in college~~it can be very detailed and tedious. Whoever wrote these got antsy toward the end. I did not end up using the dowels (a few were bigger, did not notice the skinnier ones till too late). Two of the camlocks did not go down all the way when placing the top on but all is secure. Love the red top over the black body!! Very nice! :) ... show more

I bought this table for a pop of color in my kitchen and to also house some plants. It was simple to put together but please be advised that it is extremely easy to strip out the holes you are screwing into. Be careful with step 1. Stop tightening the screws once you feel resistance. Use a screwdriver instead of power tools. My table did arrive slightly damaged but I had already started putting it together by the time I noticed the damaged pieces and it would have been a pain to return it. Once it was fully assembled, I couldn't even see the damaged pieces. Nice, sturdy little table. Would have been 5 stars if not damaged ... show more

This is a story with a good ending. We purchased this console table for an accent wall and it turned out to be a great and lovely addition to our remodeled apartment. We read some of the reviews which mentioned assembly challenges. I found the assembly instructions clear and easy to follow. My only issue was with the shelf & side panel bolts and lock nuts. I ran into a few sets that were not threaded well (not cross threaded) on both sides of the lock nut. I should have checked that all eight sets threaded completely through. When tightening one side of the bottom shelf, the bolt and lock nut felt tight, but was not completely seated. I then tightened a bit more which resulted in the lock nut rotating, in turn splitting the bottom support bar. It turned out three more sets of bolts would not completely thread with the lock nuts. I contacted Convenience Concepts and spoke with their awesome Illinois customer service team as mentioned in the assembly instructions and they could not have been more gracious and supportive. I explained my issue with the bolts not completely treading through the lock nuts and the split support bar. The customer service team confirmed my product color and within a day shipped out my parts via 3-day mail. They sent me a very supportive email with the shipping information and tracking number. The parts arrived with eight pairs of bolts and lock nuts already threaded. The nuts/bolts and replacement support bar were very well packaged and the console table is now well constructed and a great fit for our home. In their email to me, Convenience Concept stated “100% Customer Satisfaction is our main goal.” I was very impressed with their customer service and support. And would completely agree that they have met their goal. It’s reassuring to experience this again. ... show more

I love the color, just what I was expecting. I wish the desk was a little longer and taller though. I thought it was fairly easy to set up until I got to the very end of assembling and the dowels did not fit the drawer as they were too big. I realized that those dowels were supposed to be used in an earlier step and the thinner dowels (already assembled in) used for the drawer. Guess what I had to do. Ughhh. They put all the dowels in one bag, so I would never have thought there was a size difference as there is nothing to indicate that. Don't make the same mistake I did. Also, the screws for the door knobs are no where near long enough to secure them. All in all, its nice for the space so, I'll keep it. ... show more

I ordered this table to put in spare bedroom as there is not much room. I have Light gray walls, white trim and Turquoise &white Bedspread. This console table matches the bedspread and turquoise roman shades I have on the 1 window in this small spare bedroom. It compliments the room. I put a silver mirror overtop. It looks fantastic!
