  • A Gamer's Perspective - Almost Brilliant!!
Let me start by saying that this is my favorite mouse I've ever used and I plan on buying back ups. Now with that out of the way let me tell you about the struggles with this mouse. The 1st time I used it I had major trouble trying to grip and lift the mouse off the pad to reposition the cursor on the screen. The first time I did it the mouse slipped right out of my hand! Very awkward grip! This is major for gaming as the mouse is constantly lifted off the mouse pad and repositioned. I found that there was only a small strip on the side for my pinky to grip the mouse and on the other side was my thumb in the adjustable cradle. I tried using the mouse this way for weeks and had alot of pain in my thumb and pinky due to squeezing the mouse very hard when lifting it off the pad repeatedly. If I didn't squeeze hard the mouse would slip out of my hand. With a normal mouse your ring finger would help with the lifting but with this mouse your ring finger is used to press mouse2 so I found that it put alot of strain on my pinky overtime and eventually the ball of my thumb began burning from the repetitive excessive squeezing. And yes, I repositioned that thumb cradle in every possible position with no improvement. Another downside is the positioning of the mouse4 and mouse5 side buttons for your thumb. The adjustable thumb cradle is positioned so far away from these buttons it makes them almost unusable. You CAN adjust the thumb cradle to sit directly next to the side buttons but the angle provides no good grip and when you attempt to press the side buttons you completely lose control of the mouse as your thumb is no longer holding the mouse. Because of this I gave up on using the side buttons for the 1st couple weeks. I almost gave up on this mouse entirely but eventually I came up with a simple solution. I added a small pinky sleeve(picture) on the side of the mouse made of brute force tape and painters tape. This completely relieves my pinky and thumb from having to squeeze the mouse when lifting. I can now effortlessly lift the mouse up and have no pain now. Also I eventually discovered that if I position my thumb in between the adjustable thumb cradle and the body of the mouse(as shown in the picture) I can now easily press the side mouse button. Mouse5 button is still way too far backward and I have to crunch my thumb up in an awkward position in order to press it(shown in picture). In conclusion, this mouse is almost brilliant. The 70 degree maximum tilt is very comfortable. I feel no strain in my arm and wrist when using this mouse. I wouldn't go back to a normal mouse after using this one. 3 mouse buttons instead of only 2 is AMAZING! I'm spoiled now and cant go back. It has a great sensor and doesn't skip no matter how fast I move the mouse. (I had to stop using the perixx perimice 513L mouse for that reason) I got the corded version so I don't know about the battery life. The quality is good. It feels sturdy and well built. Doesn't feel cheap Now I wish this company would modify this bad boy with some kind of pinky sleeve or better gripping feature. The side mouse buttons and the thumb cradle need to be totally redesigned in my opinion. Great idea but bad execution(burns the ball of my thumb from squeezing and terribly awkward using the side mouse buttons!!) Okay, now I'm gonna purchase one or two more of these bad boys for back ups....lol I hope this helps somebody out there! ... show more

  • Exactly what I wanted but only lasted under a week (twice) before it died.
I am left-handed and wanted a wired ergonomic mouse. This was exactly that and while a big pricey if it performed well I was happy to pay it. The fact that it was delivered in a few days was a plus. I didn't want to wait for something that had to come all the way from China. When it arrived I followed all the directions to set up the buttons and cursor speed. So far so good. After using it for a few days it just stopped working completely. No problem, a quick couple of clicks and a return was in process and a replacement on its way. HOWEVER, the replacement took a month for it to arrive AND when it came the same problem happened, it stopped working completely after a few days. I'm reasonably computer literate and tried all the troubleshooting things to resuscitate the mouse. Still dead! Returning and getting a refund. Would not recommend after 2 trys. ... show more
