I love this brand of travel mugs, and I use mine every day. They fit in my hand well, and they are easy to drink from without pouring all over yourself. I love that you can lock it, and that you press the side to release the liquid. If something is hot, it will stay hot for a while...at least a couple hours. I usually drink my coffee pretty quickly, so I don't know about several hours. These mugs are sturdy and wash well. We have several of these. Love the color options - we know whose is whose. Love the size. It keeps hot beverages hot and cold beverages cold, even when left in a car and we live in Florida. I am a gardener and the press to release button is perfect. No garden soil gets inside, it does not spill when knocked over, and even when wearing grubby garden gloves, the beverage comes out into my mouth with the push of a button without dirt coming in too. My husband loves it too. We are very happy with this item. We use them hard and heavy and we have worn out the lids. I would say that it would be nice to be able to buy replacement lids, but the truth is, by the time the the lids wear out, the metal container is dented and scratched and we are happy to replace them with new. Only mug in the world that doesn’t leak. I like to throw my mug in my bag and head to work. Never had these leak. Keeps cold fluids cold, and hot fluids hot for longer than u would need it too. I've been in search of the perfect coffee mug. I originally purchased the Courtland Chill 24 oz and it was simply too big. I then purchased the Jackson Chill 20 oz and replaced the lid with the Courtland Chill lid because I like the spill-proof aspect of the Courtland lid. The Jackson Chill lid has a big opening and is not spill-proof, only leak-proof. With both Coutland and Jackson, they were bottom-heavy when pressing the AUTOSEAL to sip, and uncomfortable to hold. Also, I had to call Contigo to make sure the Jackson Chill could hold hot liquids since the instruction on the wrapper indicates the product is only for cold liquids. I was assured by a Contigo representative, that hot liquids can be used in the Jackson Chill. After more research, I found the Luxe Stainless 16 oz, which is the ideal size and offers AUTOSEAL, the most important feature to me. The Luxe doesn't feel too bottom-heavy when turning the mug up to drink. I bought the all stainless, inside and out. It is sleek-looking and functions flawlessly. the 2 prior travel mugs didn't fail or break, we only got new ones because the prior had a colored finish on the outside that had chipped away over time, and they got dented from heavy use. when they start to look really beat-up and shabby, we donate them. this time I chose the plain stainless finish on the outside. there was a SUPER deal over Thanksgiving weekend on a 2-pack, basically 2 for the price of 1. so, if anything happens to the first, we've got a spare. my husband closes the top on the travel mug and locks it, and then throws this into his backpack which he hauls to/from work 5 days a week. it never leaks or spills, and sometimes if he doesn't finish his coffee at the start of the day, he'll have the rest on the way home from work, and finds that the coffee is still hot after 10 hrs, which is amazing. it's leak-proof, remarkably well-insulated and super lightweight. we clean ours by throwing it into the top rack of the dishwasher. also, we give the inside a thorough soak in a vinegar/baking soda solution every few months, because unlike the name suggests, "stainless steel" actually does get stained over time by coffee/tea. that's no fault of the product, just the reality of the material. in addition to running through the dishwasher, we give the lid inner workings a thorough, detailed cleaning every few weeks. we love this product and this brand, and it's why we keep coming back. This doesn't keep my tea as hot for as long say as the Yeti, but it is always closed, unless you open it with pressure on the button. The other (Yeti) turns to lock and unlock and there os no visual cue to tell if it is open or closed- so I have spilled multiple times over the year, got sick of it and went back to Contigo and tried this style.
