  • Works, although......
Purchased this breaker to add a few circuits to my Fed. Pac. panel, the breaker did fit properly and did work however I did not intentionally short out the circuit to see if the breaker would trip.

  • Great buy
Fit into the panel perfect with no problems. Tested the quality and it worked perfectly. Tripped accordingly when I created a short on the circuit.

  • Poor quality control
Not impressed with the quality control. Ordered two. One was missing the lug screw! And yes, I looked in the packaging to see if it had fallen out. Seeing if one from an old breaker will fit. If not sending it back.

  • Better than the old breakers from Federal Pacific
The old Federal Pacific breakers are known to fail although the Stab-lok box is solid so I am hoping the newly manufactured breakers with UL 489 rating will trip the circuit in an event of a electrical short. It's an inexpensive step to take b4 replacing the box with a modern main panel and breakers. ... show more

  • Seems to work
I ordered 1 breaker to test it out, trip times seems appropriate. This is an old fashion breaker, no electronics. my tests results: Amps / Time to trip 55 A - 14 seconds 41 A - 27 seconds 36 A - 46 seconds 30 A - 119 seconds 25 A - 1076 seconds seems reasonable for a 20 amp rated breaker, at 20 amps with tolerance the trip time should be infinite seconds on the plotted trip time vs amps curve, breaker rating is where the vertical asymptote falls on the x axis based on this data i will order a few more of these breakers Update: ordered 4 more of these 20 amp breakers Tested their trip time for 36 amps, 3 took about 50-60 seconds and one needed about 75 seconds to trip But they started at a cooler temperature than last time. Very reasonable behavior and repeatable. Note these are made in China, but seem to work well for my application, would recommend. ... show more

  • Hard to find these in a store they seem to be good
Seem ok would buy again since I can not find this style breaker in a store

  • PITA Installation
These units are an expensive solution to the well known FPE circuit breaker problem. They do work, but installation can be a challenge. Some installed easily, while most required a lot of care, and a couple needed a bit of encouragement to actually get them seated properly. Typical lack of Chinese quality control. ... show more
