  • Work great!
Color: White Size: 59" x 19.5" (X-Large)
We bought four of the large extended versions for our two toddlers transitioning from their cribs to twin beds. We bought them planning for the transition in a few weeks. But when the kids started climbing out of their cribs, we had to move fast to put the bed and bed rails together before bedtime one night. I had spent hours researching toddler bed rails online because we have platform twin beds with wood slats holding up the mattress, but no box spring. SO MANY of these bed rails DO NOT WORK WITH PLATFORM BEDS and especially with slats. THESE RAILS DO WORK WITH PLATFORM BEDS with slats or plywood bases and they come with the necessary parts for each type. From my research, I found out that many bed rails are not able to sit on the platform (whether they are solid plywood or slats) and still reach above the edge of the bed frame so they can fold down. And, many bed rails are not able to fasten correctly to a platform, either. THIS MODEL WORKS PERFECTLY with our platform bed with slats and folds up and down perfectly. It is strong enough to hold our 2 1/2 year olds when they are pushing on the rails. PLEASE WATCH THE ONLINE INSTRUCTIONS!!! The instruction book that comes with is very confusing and the pictures are all very close up so you can't tell what parts they are trying to show you. Also if you ordered this EXTENDED version, NEITHER THE BOOK NOR THE ONLINE VIDEO SHOWS WHAT TO DO WITH THE EXTENSION PART. I saw so many reviews here that said the mesh was too big for the rails and there was an extra piece left over. Well, duh, that's the extension piece meant to fit the extra long mesh. Please read the comments and understand the extra piece is meant to go in between the shorter ends so it extends all the way out and the mesh fits over the whole frame. Otherwise, these were very easy to put together after watching the video. We initially installed them with the velcro on the slats, but for other reasons, we added a piece of plywood over the slats (because there was a large gap at the head and end of the bed all the way to the ground where the kids could get stuck). We then screwed the bed rail supports into the plywood, making sure the screws didn't protrude through the plywood - because you know kids will crawl under their beds... Finally, because these are so long, it's hard to release the locks and fold them down with both hands at the same time. I can't reach all the way from one end to the other at all. So, my trick is to: 1) Unlock one end; 2) Pull it toward you so it doesn't re-lock; 3) Keep holding the rail and then slide your hand down toward the other end, pulling the rail toward you a bit so the first end doesn't re-lock; 4) When you get to the other end, keep pulling it toward you a bit and unlock the second end. The whole bed rail should then release and fold down easily. I have done this many times and even one-handed with a baby in one arm. On our small twin beds, the rails fold all the way down so they're parallel with the side of the bed. They don't stick out at all when folded down. Good luck! ... show more

  • Great Product; Broke Eventually, But Not Due to Product Issues
Color: Grey Size: 59" x 19.5" (X-Large)
Got this product for my little one who had just turned two. We had converted his crib into the toddler bed configuration. But because he moved around a lot, and the crib was small; he would wake up often because he bumped against the sides. So we decided to transition him to a regular bed, and bought this rail to make sure he wouldn't fall off. We bought a bed (initially a twin, the a queen) with wooden slats so that we could screw the rail into it. This stopped the rail from slipping and sliding. It did its job really well. It eventually broke after about a year and a half, not because it was defective, but because our little one started playing on it like it was one of their playground contraptions. The great thing when we did remove it, we realized he didn't need a rail anymore. It had actually inadvertently trained him not to get to the edge it seems. I know it comes with the straps, but I found that if you have a bed with wooden slats, it's better to screw the rail into them (it has that option); it made it secure and insured that it wouldn't slide around. ... show more

  • Seems well made but instructions are very hard to follow
Color: White Size: 59" x 19.5" (X-Large)
The item comes with a manual for assembly and installation but their description of parts is not easy to figure out. There are several tubular pipes and identifying the correct one was for me primarily by trial and error. The photos in the instructions were very small and dark so I had to get a flashlight to see it clearly. I expected to receive TWO rail guards, one for each side of the bed, but there was only one. I had to order another and these were not inexpensive ... show more

  • Great solution for our toddlers bed in our trailer
Color: Pink Size: 35.5" x 19.5" (Regular)
The media could not be loaded. we have been thrilled with this toddler bed safety gate for our travel trailer! It has been a game-changer for keeping our little one safe and secure while we're on the road. The gate is easy to install and adjust to fit different bed sizes, and the sturdy construction gives us peace of mind. It's great for preventing any accidental falls during the night. What I love most is its portability - it folds down compactly for storage and travel, making it a convenient companion for our adventures. The gate is also easy to open and close, although you have to use two hands. Overall, this toddler bed safety gate has been a fantastic addition to our travel trailer setup. It's durable, easy to use, and provides an extra layer of safety for our little explorer. Highly recommend it for any traveling families with young children! ... show more

  • Great for crib to toddler bed switch!
Color: White Size: 35.5" x 19.5" (Regular)
Bought this for my toddler’s crib when we took off the side panel once she figured out how to climb out. I love that it’s like a screen so air can still get through and we can see in & out. It has these bars that slide under the mattress and it’s really sturdy and perfect for what we need. I slide it to the top part of her bed by her pillow. Then she gets in from the bottom of the bed. Great for what we needed and can easily still use if for her big girl bed in the future. ... show more

  • Easy to assemble !
Color: Grey Size: 2-Pack Regular (35.5" x 19.5")
So easy to assemble my 4.5 year old did it with me, cost effective, durable and made well, no missing parts! And comfortable next to my son’s bed. I feel safe cause it’s also stable enough to hold him if he rolls over next to it. It’ll definitely help me sleep more soundly knowing he’s safe.
