I first have to admit that I may not have put it together correctly. I ended up with a "pole" that was not used. My gripe is with the assembly instructions. The parts are labeled with identifiers like A1 and B3, but there is no mention of those part numbers in the assembly instructions. The parts are also sometimes called one name in the parts list, and another name in the assembly instructions. In my case it is used on the queen size bed with a very thick mattress to keep my doggie from falling off the bed in the night. He is getting very old and had been falling a couple of times a week. After assembly and installed on the thick mattress it only extends about 5 inches above the top of the mattress. That is all I need, as my doggie likes to wander around on the bed in the night and then flop down right next to the edge on his side. He hasn't fallen since I got this and likes snuggling his back against the comfy toddler rail. So it is a 4 for me, but if I was really trying to keep a toddler from falling out of my bed, I'd only give it a 1! ... show more

I bought this to use at the foot of my fathers bed. He has a habit of falling off in that direction. It works perfectly. The straps reach to the head of the bed (queen size bed) so the bed rail is secure.

The product itself works well,. Don’t bother reading instructions that come with it, because they’re terrible. Just go to the website and watch the video. I do wish they would’ve mentioned where the best place for support bars to go on a frame with slats.

Watching the video made it easy to assemble. Logic made it easy to install. The quality seems good, but wish it was more sturdy. Should serve the purpose... time will tell

Ease of assembly and installation. Only a little wonky to get the rails set on a slatted bed frame. Also a bit tight with 2 rails on a twin bed, but able to make things work. Height is great? Even with a box spring.
