These are great for stirring hot beverages and i do not recommend you use these on hair however i have also found them useful to perm a select few of my clients hair for certain styles. I ordered this brand when I didn’t see the brand I’d previously ordered. It looked like a good value; there are a lot of stir sticks for the money. The first one I used sort of bent when I stirred my hot coffee in the morning. I thought, ok, maybe it was a fluke. There could be one out of a thousand that’s weak. No, every one I’ve used has been the same. They’re just … flimsy. I will keep them because they aren’t worth sending back. They still do the job for the most part though I’ve once or twice had to get a second one to finish stirring my coffee because the first one turned into a question mark. My mom is ill and has trouble with her hands shaking uncontrollably at times and big straws are sometimes too big for the drink glass. These straws work perfectly so she doesn't need to do much more than edge her drink closer.

We use these as math manipulatives for place value! We easily wrap straws into groups of 10 using toddler hair bands of rainbow colors and the kids can separate them and see how we add and take apart groups of ten. Great for showing WHY we carry numbers when adding on paper

My idea was to drill holes on each side of the ceiling joists (from above) and poke these through so I could spot the joists (from below) while putting up the furring strips for a new tongue and groove ceiling. That didn't work because even with a small bit the straws didn't want to stick and just fell right through. So, not too good for home renovation. But I'm sure they'd be fine for a bar or cafe or whatever, which is what they're actually for. ... show more

Had this package come in an actual box and was in a sturdy box itself I would not have to throw away every last one of these because of sanitary issues. I am not happy with the packaging of this product at all.

I bought these for coffee stirrers and it was a waste of money. The price was reasonable, but these are not good as coffee stirrers. I didn't even feel like boxing these back up and sending back for a refund. Just chalking it up as a loss. I don't recommend buying these as coffee stirrers.
