I hate sunscreen, but there is no getting around it in FL. This shirt is super lightweight and breathable. Its the good kind of material that feels more like a nice silk texture, not the heavier walmart cheap feel. I got the sun protection without the sunscreen or the drawback of a sweaty cotton shirt baking to my skin in the sun. The medium fit as expected, im a typical medium and wear a size eight pants and the bottom of the shirt fell nicely over my hips. It is a bit loose around the upper and mid section, but if you're wearing this shirt in hot outdoor environment, thats what gives it the airy, no-cling feel. Love all the pockets. Theyre right over the breasts so some may have a hang up about putting things in them and their chest looking funny...whatever, if you're rockin this shirt outdoors doing fishing or hunting, you will find them so useful you wont even be caring about if your chest does/doesnt look lumpy. I could have a third boob but a fish doesnt care either. Only bad thing i can say is even though i love this shirt for fishing, thats all id wear it for now. I went with a white and have quite a few stains where my sunscreen tinted it a weird dirty yellow, and a few other random contact stains that arent going anywhere. Kindof a shame since the cut and sleeve up/down option is fashionable enough to wear about anywhere in florida. I remedied that though by getting two more in tan and light blue. I ordered two of these shirts, white and yellow, to wear when I traveled to the Galápagos. I needed sun protection without being hot in a long sleeved shirt. BOY did these shirts deliver. I bought this for a sailing trip to the Galapagos since it was quick dry and sun protective. Then I found I wore it at home tons, too. It is a good light cover up on a cool sunny day, and is great to throw in a back-pack for a hike or walk - for me especially at the beach - because the wrinkles shake out easily and it always looks reasonably sharp. Cute as a windbreaker. You can even make it look a bit dressy if you are traveling and want a dual-purpose top. The other thing I love is that I usually stain my white tops and this stayed stain free for three years. I just bought my second one. BTW - I don't fish so ignore the name. ... show more

I ordered a medium--I always order medium--and the sleeves seem short. Especially compared to other Columbia long-sleeved shirts. I purchased a Super Bahama (the seersucker version) at the same time and the sleeves of that size medium are a full inch longer. I purchased this mostly to wear over a short-sleeved shirt, as sun protection for my arms. This year's field work has been in 100 degree or more full-sun and I wanted something light with uv protection. This shirt is so light that it actually gets hot against my skin, which I was not expecting. The seersucker is a bit heavier but the puckered fabric keeps it from lying hot against my arms. ... show more

Thankful for the customer reviews. I normally wear a S/M in a sleeveless top. Due to my broad shoulders, I normally wear a Large in a blouse with set in sleeves, then the bodice is often times frumpy and needs tailoring. Not so with this blouse. The size M fit perfectly all over. If it helps, I'm 5'7" 160 lbs, 34DD. A size L would have probably been okay as well. This blouse is nicely tailored to compliment the female figure. No frumpiness here. And the fabric is so nice, soft, and cool. Great for travel or every day casual wear with somewhat of a polished look. Love it!! ... show more

I bought this shirt in a Medium as I initially purchased a Large and as many people have said, the shirt runs big. The Mediums fit perfect. I recently moved to AZ where it is HOT and I noticed that all the locals wear long sleeves. When I started having problems with the sun and medications I am taking I decided to try long sleeves. This shirt has UV protection and is very lightweight. You do have to hand wash it and it says no bleach, which may be hard down the line with white but I think if you use bleach you may also lose the UV protection. I plan on buying more of these shirts, they are wonderful. ... show more
