  • One year and totally satisfied!
Assembled this by myself. One year later, totally satisfied. Never fails to start and has withstood more than a few crashes. Really great to introduce children to riding but also great fun for adults if you have some land or trails that allow 'em! I wouldn't pay $800 though. Mine was $550 here on Amazon. It's cheap Chinese steel and motor so $550 seemed fair. YMMV. Overall, I couldn't be happier. ... show more

  • Cheap Fun!
My 9 year old received this as a gift from "Santa" last Christmas so it is coming up on a year old. I feel like this has been an adequate amount of time to evaluate the machine. Bike comes mostly assembled but will require about an hour to put together out of the box. Anyone with a modicum of mechanical ability who can read should have no trouble. The instructions are simple and easy to follow. This thing is heavy when it arrives so be aware of that. Pros: Its affordable, sturdy, and starts easily. It will be easy for any child 7 and up to use. I was quite surprised at how well the engine runs and a tank of gas will keep it going for hours. Bike has plenty of power for a small kid and actually carried me at 250 pounds. The governor keeps the speed reasonable and is adjustable. Cons: Its bumpy since it has no suspension and the tires will get out from under the bike in leaves or on wet grass. I am also disappointed in the lack of quality with the brakes which are always the first thing to give trouble on cheap bikes and go karts. This bike was no exception--in a few short months we started having brake issues. Ordered a replacement brake kit and of course it doesn't fit. (another story). It also seems to be necessary to tighten the clutch occasionally and the chain will periodically pop off. Final word: This is a good mini bike for what it costs. It isn't a Honda but will give a kid some experience with a smaller machine if you are thinking of getting them something bigger. It has its little quirks but for a sub 300.00 purchase I can't complain. My son has had a lot of fun on this bike and it gets him outside and off of video games so that makes it worth it in my opinion. ... show more

  • Nice bike but terrible shipping
The box or the bike was upside down so there was oil everywhere. The air cleaner was broken and there were a couple of nuts missing. I temporarily fixed the air cleaner and dug around my bolt bin and made do with my own hardware. I immediately ordered an aftermarket air filter kit. There were some scratches on the rear fender as well. So if you have it shipped it most likely will not arrive in perfect condition. Nice little bike though and perfect size for a 7 year old. After removing the goveror even my 6ft, 160lbs could go 20mph. ... show more

  • Great bike, arrived damaged, Amazon sent a replacement, replacement also had minor damage.
It arrived damaged, box wasn’t damaged. Issue seems to be poor packaging by Coleman. Amazon sent a replacement bike as these are not returnable. In less then an hour of riding, rear wheel bearing went bad…. The fix is to order upgraded 6201ZZ steel bearings. All in all you can’t beat the bike for the $…. And if there’s an issue Amazon will make it right with you either by a refund or a replacement….. Easy to assemble. 20mph stock, with some tuning Itl do 35+…. Parts are easy to obtain for them. It’s no old school doodlebug db30 but it’s very nice for the price point. Update: replacement arrived today. Also damaged in the exact same spot. It’s due to poor packaging the forks lay directly on the chain guard and rear fender when in the box. Being they sent a replacement for the first one. I am just going to live with the minor damage. Coleman really needs to package these better ... show more

  • Easy to assemble
Style: 98cc/3.0hp, Black
First let me say the delivery driver paid great attention to detail and followed my instructions to the T . This is my second coleman minibike and they are Easy to Assemble I had it together in 10 mins seeing as it came partially assembled all I had to do was put the fork, front tire, add engine oil, I had some 10-40w pushed it two blocks over to the gas station the attendant was chuckling because it’s not the first time lol $1.74 to fill the tank quite surprised this minibike preformed exactly like it’s bigger brother the Ct200u the weight capacity says 150 lbs I’m 5’11” and 200 lbs this minibike cruises around on level ground at 23 mph easy . With a 3.0 hp or 99cc best bang for your buck especially if your looking for something small to fit in the trunk take on vacation tank holds .42 Gal says run time is 3hrs so far I put 45 min on it oh and if you want get some engine oil with zddp it’s great on new engines adds zinc to the oil to help break in the engine while you ride ... show more

  • Poor quality overall, Coleman isn’t what it used to be
First of all if you are going to buy one of these, Amazon is the place to purchase it. They will refund your purchase if you have problems that Coleman will not remedy themselves, which they will not. I put my warranty claim in over a month ago and have heard nothing. Once I got the minibike in after ordering it I put it together and the fuel valve was missing and placed a warranty claim in for it with Coleman powersports. Their poor ratings for customer service are correct and there are very few parts available for these so I had to order a bunch of different parts hoping one would fit and eventually one did. The minibike runs okay for about what you would expect out of an inexpensive minibike. They do have chain issues however so I recommend doing some research on the chain coming off problems that these have and if you aren’t a little mechanically inclined I would be prepared to have a disappointed child within a few days of them having it. The initial assembly was very easy and other than these issues it seems to work relatively well overall. The motor and other parts aren’t super high quality but they’re alright for a kids minibike but after having my daughter ride it for two days I don’t expect it to last for many years. I wouldn’t say I regret buying it altogether but I would definitely look at other options now knowing what I do. UPDATE: the chain problems were actually the clutch coming off of the motor and rear wheel bearing going bad and Coleman offers no real support to fix anything. I wouldn’t buy this again and regret doing so in the first place. Very disappointed ... show more
